Yeah, the same ones that say that the US shouldn’t have their own (e.g., Obama’s new home had it’s extended…if walls don’t work, er…).  Yet, Israel had a horrific terrorist problem as the Palestinians simply kept trying to kill Israeli citizens (they have sworn to wipe Israel off the map and throw all the Jews into the sea).  The Israelis erected a wall – things got much better.

Hungary put up a wall to stop the Muslim invasion that is coming to the EU via the Middle East and Africa. Yes, they were told it wouldn’t work.  Ummm:

Mexico’s Government Warns U.S.A. to Not Build Border Walls

The Mexican foreign secretary called the plan to build walls along the border a “hostile” and “deeply unfriendly” act, and an “aggravating action.” He warned that Mexico intends to conduct a fierce legal battle to stop any border walls that violate the rights of Mexicans.

Frankly, I don’t give a poop what Mexico is frothing about – if the US wishes to deal with a problem in our country, we should deal with it in our way. Period.  If we build a wall, on our soil, that’s our decision. But Mexico wants us to believe that THEY have a say in our wall or not? Do they really believe that we should not have any say or take any action to control our own borders?

And with Trump making noise about re-negotiating or canceling NAFTA, they want to sue the US?  With Jeff Session as the US AG?  And WHAT “rights” of any Mexican would be violated by us putting up a wall?

Back in August of 2015 I wrote about the slings, arrows, and outrageous (mis) fortunes that could befall homeowners who took the bait and “bought in” on residential solar installations being peddled by more vendors than you could count.

If you are not scared off by the fly-by-night nature of the vendors, the sketchy nature of the incentives, unrealistic savings promises, or even the 20-year lien on your property, how about the loss of value and hidden taxes resulting from rising electricity rates, from which you will never escape?

In California, about 50,000 homeowners bought into the scheme and now find themselves unable to sell their homes.

Yeah, the GOP is alREADY saying “wait until next time!”

Nancy Pelosi & Chuck Schumer are laughing and laughing at this gutless wonders that promised us everything but have given us Conservatives essentially nothing in this “bipartisan” agreement.  As Steve pointed out here and especially here at “On the Crossing of Aisles”:

This is not ‘Democrats’ reaching across anything. This is State Senators elected as Republicans giving Democrats something else they want. Again.

The GOP, may I remind you, hold the House, the Senate, and the Oval Office – they could steamroll the Dems and PROTECT the GOP agenda.  But NOOOOoooooo, they flopped.  In their fear of the Federal Govt shutting down (they don’t remember that after the last time, they GAINED seats in Congress), so much so I swear that I need to send them some of The Grandson’s diapers, the GOP basically gave the Democrats EVERYTHING they wanted – us who brung’em to the dance got shafted.  To wit, to keep the Feds open until September:

• bowed to Democratic demands to eliminate hundreds of policy restrictions aimed at curbing regulations
• no money for starting the border wall (in fact, restrictions from even starting it)
• no more money for Border Agents
• no new restrictions on money going to so-called sanctuary cities that don’t fully enforce federal immigration laws
• FULLY funded Planned Parenthood
• EPA – instead of its budget getting cut, it was RAISED by $81 million and no staff cuts

Today is May Day or what should be Remember the Victims of Communism Day.

From The Washington Post:

May Day began as a holiday for socialists and labor union activists, not just communists. But over time, the date was taken over by the Soviet Union and other communist regimes and used as a propaganda tool to prop up their [authority]. I suggest that we instead use it as a day to commemorate those regimes’ millions of victims. The authoritative Black Book of Communism estimates the total at 80 to 100 million dead, greater than that caused by all other twentieth century tyrannies combined. We appropriately have a Holocaust Memorial Day. It is equally appropriate to commemorate the victims of the twentieth century’s other great totalitarian tyranny. And May Day is the most fitting day to do so….

The number above according to Death by Government is a little low. That statistical reference puts the number at 106 million with Stalin and Mao leading the list of contributors that also include Lenin, Pol Pot, and Tito–Communists all. You can hear people defending Communism today–which is an alarming display of ignorance.  They say stuff like, “Hey, man, how about the 8 hour work day, dude?” knowing not a whit about forced starvation, forced organ harvesting, liquidating the Kulaks, or the 106 million other crimes. It’s a shame.
