Rally for Jerry – NH State Rep Dan Itse and Sue DeLemus (Jerry’s wife)

NH State Rep Dan Itse also spoke on Jerry’s behalf in his inimitable fashion and Jerry’s wife Sue, a former NH State Rep, recounted what has happened over the last year, oft in very emotional terms, and shared a letter from Jerry with the crowd:

and the closing remarks by Jack Kimball and Sue and Karen Testerman closing out with a rendition of “God Bless America”:

“If I vote for this healthcare bill, it will be the end of my career.”

Yesterday at the Rally for Jerry, I said the above to a prominent GOP activist here in NH when she said “not to worry” in that the DC GOPers will get the job done and repeal Obamacare.  I thought she’d about fall off her chair – she knows I don’t kid about such things.  I think that any Right leaning voter ought to be intently looking at that line and starting thinking “is any of this (support GOPers unconditionally) worth my effort any more”?  Sorry, I’m really starting to believe that we’ve been double-crossed.  Again. By the GOP.

Remember, almost every Obamacare repeal bill since its inception has pretty much been unanimous by Republicans.  Remember, almost every Republican campaigned on its repeal.  They knew their base wanted it GONE.  Remember how they cajoled, begged, pleaded, and asked: “give us the House…give us the Senate…give us the Presidency.  Then and ONLY then we can make that happen.”

Consistency yields Trust yielding Votes.  We believed what they said.  Remember,

Killing People “Legally”

picassistedsuicide27Arkansas went on a capital punishment binge recently. They tried to execute eight death row inmates in eleven days because some of the drugs they use were going to expire and they may not be able to get more. Apparently, the companies that make the drugs don’t want them used for lethal injections.

All of the major manufacturers of injectable midazolam have said they do not want their drugs used in executions and most of them have created control systems, including contracts with third-party drug distributors prohibiting the sale of their drugs for use in lethal injections.

Midazolam is a sedative, and if the manufacturers are uncomfortable with this use then as private companies, they should be free to choose with whom they do business. But here’s a curious question? Do any of these same companies make other drugs that might be used for assisted suicide?

Sununu and Unions at a Standstill

Good. (UL) Gov. Chris Sununu has taken a hard line against any pay raises in new collective bargaining for five unions that represent more than 13,000 state workers. And when one union left the table in disgust and declared an impasse in early March, Sununu’s negotiators ended salary talks with the other four, a sharp … Read more

Rally for Jerry DeLemus – State House, Concord NH

Yesterday, upwards of 150 people (according to the UL, a decent estimate) showed up to the State Capital building to show their support of Jerry DeLemus – long time conservative activist here in NH –  I have known Jerry for about 10 years – regardless of whether you think his actions at the Cliven Bundy … Read more

Rally for Jerry DeLemus – Omer Ahern and Gary Hopper

At the Rally for Jerry DeLemus yesterday, current Bradford County and long term GOP and Conservative activist Omer Ahern was the next to talk about Jerry and some of the things that are important to him.  He was followed Gary Hopper who had a sample letter to sent to new Attorney General Jeff Sessions petitioning him to effectively drop the charges brought against Jerry from an overreaching Bureau of Land Management.

Local Groups Admit They are in League with Communism

socialism logoIf Tea Party activists marched with Klan members that would suggest an affinity or affiliation as damning as any. And so it should be with groups that March in celebration of May Day.

[su_quote]The 1904 International Socialist Conference in Amsterdam, the Sixth Conference of the Second International, called on “all Social Democratic Party organisations and trade unions of all countries to demonstrate energetically on the First of May for the legal establishment of the 8-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat…”[/su_quote]

A number of local groups are sponsoring or participating in May Day marches in New Hampshire. That should associate them ideologically with the goals of communism.

Muslim Values and Assimilation

It’s often said, “Islam is a religion of peace.”  However, the relevant question related to American, especially immigration and refugee, policies is:  Are Muslim (leaders and followers) beliefs, values, goals, and behaviors compatible with American society or do they jeopardize the peace, prosperity, freedoms, and even lives of American citizens?

Millions of Muslim refugees in Europe are demanding, threatening, crude, ungrateful, and violent against people and property.    We may not want to believe it, but the evidence is clear, google “videos of Muslim refugees in Europe” or see:

Must See! Crazy European Immigration Crisis

Muslim assimilation with their adopted countries and cultures generally isn’t their goal; their goal is to transform those countries into Sharia Law ruled Muslim countries.  Muslims pursue that goal by:  intimidation, demands, terrorism, and out-breeding (eventually out-voting) the native populations.  Thousands of Muslims from immigrant/refugee families in Western countries demonstrate their commitment to Islam by joining ISIS or committing, or been caught planning or supporting, terrorist acts.

Teachers save the World from Kindergarteners and Other News

Teachers prevented mass casualties by suspending five-year-old Caitlin Miller for making shooting motions with a crooked stick and four-year-old pre-school student Hunter Crowe for having a “shotgun bullet” (aka a fired 22 bullet shell casing) he got from his police officer grandfather.

Note that while children can’t be taught “The Ten Commandments” or “Love your neighbor as yourself” for fear of establishing a state religion, their schools will soon teach them about Islam which directs the killing of gays, non-believers, adulterers, and wives and sisters who bring dishonor on a family.

The Rockville Maryland School Superintendent calls people racists for objecting to the rape of a 14-year-old girl by 17 and 18 year old illegal alien classmates.   Apparently it’s only OK to complain about white rapists.

Too bad we don’t have enough adults on campuses like him right now

University of California Berkeley is the “fabled” home of the free speech movement back in the 60s.  Nowadays, not so much as we’ve seen the political correctness/cultural Marxism reach its nadir with respect to LIMITING that same concept.  You know, some dribble about offense, safe spaces, and oppression except it hasn’t stopped at just debate – the Left, as Steve notes, is more and more willing to resort to either the threat or actual violence to limit other peoples’ speech as the we saw at UCB (first with Milo and now with Ann Coulter) and other college campuses (notably Middlebury College where Charles Murray and a Middlebury College professor were physically assaulted).  It is, I’m afraid, going to get much MUCH worse before (if?) it gets better as it seems that the radicals of the 60s have made good at “turning” students into anti-American droids (all the while using our tax monies to do so).

A reminder of how a former CA Governor handled similar problems at UCB (emphasis mine):

In an extremely controversial move, for which he never apologized, Reagan declared a state of emergency and sent in 2,200 National Guard troops. He enacted a curfew and banned public assembly for two weeks. The National Guard patrolled the streets of Berkeley, dispersing any crowd of four or more. It wasn’t pretty, but they restored order.

There is a classic, should-be-in-the-Smithsonian clip of Reagan at a press conference after the fact with university administrators. He says: “Those people told you for days in advance that if the university sought to go ahead with that construction, they were going to physically destroy the university.”

And now for THE line that says it all:

From the “It’s settled SCIENCE!” folder – salt

Higher sodium intake associated with lower blood pressure. You read that right.

Salt ShakerWait.  WHAT??  You mean I have deprived myself (except on French fries and corn on the cob) all these years for nothing (reformatted, emphasis mine)?

In another blow against decades of accepted medical wisdom, one of the most prestigious, long-running studies reports that lowering sodium intake doesn’t reduce blood pressure. The study also implies that most Americans are consuming a perfectly healthy amount of salt, the main source of sodium. But those who are salt-sensitive, about 20 to 25 percent of the population, still need to restrict salt intake.

One who is NOT salt-sensitive is TMEW as she puts salt, copious amounts of salt, on everything (except, perhaps ice cream – haven’t PERSONALLY seen her do that, but I can’t swear to it).  Yet, her blood pressure is WAY low – like being “athlete low” except she doesn’t exercise at all.

UNH Employees Cannot Appropriate University Resources to Express Partisan Political Views

UNH CampusThe New Hampshire, the UNH system student newspaper, is reporting on a dust-up over some posters displayed on a wall at the Memorial Union Building (MUB). The ‘We the people’ posters were placed by an employee without MUB management approval. While the article focuses on the various reactions to them going up and coming down, the unrecognized gem in this piece is this (emphasis mine).

[su_quote]“The ‘We the People’ posters were hung in the Memorial Union Building by an employee. While artwork posted in public spaces and meeting rooms in the MUB is done at the discretion of the building’s management team, UNH is a public university and employees cannot appropriate university resources to express partisan political views,” Mantz said.[/su_quote]

Erika Mantz is the UNH director of media relations, and inquiring minds would like to know if she believes what she just said?

??? Am I out of the mainstream?

As my 8th grade French teacher used to admonish us: traduisez s’il vous plait! It features first-year student Andy Spalletta, who considers “nonbinary” a term favored by “mainstream society”: Spalletta identifies as demi-gray, genderqueer panromantic. For Spalletta, this means they might be sexually attracted to someone as gray-sexual until they have a demi-sexual partnership with … Read more

Govt: let’s buy cars so NO ONE will use them!

“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.” – President Obama, Inauguration (2009)

Awe sheesh.  Liberals and Progressives HATE it when we want to cut even a single sacred dollar out of a budget. “It’s an apocalypse!” they decry; “how ever can government run with such a cut!”.

Sidenote: Doubt me?  Come to our Budget Committee meetings later on this fall – I can almost get that reaction on demand.

Yet, when we conservatives and “less government is better govt” types start pointing out that things aren’t quite working out as these spenders predict, they either try to gloss over it and get it off the table or exclaim “you hate children, you Nazi” (ok, perhaps a bit of hyperbole on that first one). But why appropriate $$$ for stuff that gets bought to sit and rust (emphasis mine, reformatted)?

Federal Agencies Spent $13.5 Million on Vehicles They May Not Use

Two federal agencies spent $13.5 million to maintain 2,441 vehicles they may not need, a congressional watchdog reported Tuesday. “Given the billions of dollars spent annually to operate and maintain federally owned vehicles … it is critical for agencies to have sound fleet management practices,” the Government Accountability Office report said.

Democrats Embrace Fascism Openly

“Protesters” who resort to violence (or threats of violence) to prevent the public expression of opinions with which they disagree are fascists even when they have labeled themselves as anti-fascists. Democrats who refuse to speak against this, are fascist sympathizers or fascists themselves.

Data Point – Democrat College Students are the least tolerant on campus

At least, if that campus is located at Dartmouth here in my “Life Free or Die” State.  Apparently, these Democrats would rather have their roommates die instead of having them as, you know, roommates. Dartmouth Study Finds Democrats Are The Least Tolerant Students On Campus A new survey of students at Dartmouth College found that … Read more

Senator Sponsoring State-Sponsored Gambling Monopolies – A Stupid Idea For Which The Time Will Never Come

Casino -- diceLike a junkie who needs a fix, Liberal Lou D’Allesandro is chomping at the bit for another shot at a state gambling monopoly. Who would have guessed that the fake news promise of tax riches for all would subside in Manchester’s Tax and Spend Lou.

Once again Senator Casino is trying to rally support for a flock of gambling lobbyists who will certainly shower pro-gambling Legislators with campaign donations. (They are the only ones who really benefit from a guaranteed income.)

Here is how I will best describe what a state sanctioned gambling monopoly would do for New Hampshire – in the words of a 300lb pro-gambling, tan leisure suit wearing, speaker at a past legislative hearing I suffered through years ago.
