Notable Quote – Prof. Randy Barnett

by

Likewise, Justice Brandeis notwithstanding, progressives have never been content to “experiment” at the local level and be judged by the results.  In every way they can, they seek to push all policy decisions to the national level.  There, with only the meager voting power to constrain them, they can impose their one-size-fits-all, “comprehensive” policies on everyone.  They even hound those individuals and companies who seek to exit the jurisdiction of the United States for freer pastures elsewhere.

-Prof. Randy Barnett (Georgetown Law, writer, Our Republican Constitution)

I’ve been saying the same thing for years – why settle something with your neighbor when you can have local government handle it.  Why have local government handle something when the county, or the State, or the Federal level?  At each level, it becomes less able for the individual to confront those in control and responsible for policies that are antithetical to that person – or just plain not working. Always, it is the Progressive that wants Power to be centralized as high as possible, unaccountable as possible, and controlling back down to the local level as often as possible.

After all, we wouldn’t know how to live our lives without Progressives, right?

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.
