“Will no one rid me of these meddlesome SJWs?”

Perdue Engineering[With all due respect to Henry II (above)].  Please guide me around the bridges they have designed.  I don’t care about diversity – I want “my engineers” to know their math, material science, and ground soils makeup.  SJWs (Social Justice Warriors) have perverted just about everything they’ve touched and now they’re about to ruin engineering (emphasis mine):

Engineering Education: Social Engineering Rather than Actual Engineering.

Alas, the world we engineers envisioned as young students is not quite as simple and straightforward as we had wished because a phalanx of social justice warriors, ideologues, egalitarians, and opportunistic careerists has ensconced itself in America’s college and universities. The destruction they have caused in the humanities and social sciences has now reached to engineering.

One of the features of their growing power is the phenomenon of “engineering education” programs and schools. They have sought out the soft underbelly of engineering, where phrases such as “diversity” and “different perspectives” and “racial gaps” and “unfairness” and “unequal outcomes” make up the daily vocabulary. Instead of calculating engine horsepower or microchip power/size ratios or aerodynamic lift and drag, the engineering educationists focus on group representation, hurt feelings, and “microaggressions” in the profession.

If my car breaks down, that bridge fails, the light switch only operates in off mode (be it the switch, the bulb, or power source), or my computer no longer computes, *I’LL* show you a MEGA-microaggression and I will dang guarantee you that there WILL be hurt feelings.

If the GOP keeps ignoring me….well, then they have NO ONE to blame but themselves

And that would be:

  • Consistency breeds Trust yields Votes
  • Winning is only a precursor; what is most important is what you do afterwards

They aren’t Consistent, they are breaking Promises, and worse, don’t seem to care.  They pleaded for 8 years – they got what they wanted.  We aren’t.  We aren’t happy either.  I hope they are literally devastated in 2018 for repeating 2006 all over again (emphasis mine, reformatted):

With This New Poll, Republican Lawmakers Should Be Sweating

With majorities in the House and Senate, as well as the presidency, there’s no excuse for Republicans to be faltering and fumbling the way they have. They had seven years to craft a solution to the nightmare known as Obamacare, and when the bell tolled, they were found wanting. A new Quinnipiac University pollshows just how disgruntled Republicans are with their representatives in Washington.

America First: Not the “Comprehensive Immigration” the Establishment was expecting – the RAISE Act

President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller said Trump’s new skills-based RAISE Act immigration proposal that benefits American workers is yet another example of how Trump favors the working class over the investment class…Miller said. “This is a major promise to the American people.”

Not desired by the Elites and Establishment but US Senators Tom Cotton (R-LA) and David Perdue (R-GA) are delivering what I believe is the kind of immigration reform that is needed.  It is, however, 180 degrees away from what the GOPe, US Chamber of Commerce, and the Democrats believe was their “right” to have.  And what is that, you ask?  What the Bush and Obama Administrations gave us, for the most part – mass immigration via almost open borders with chain migration.  Thanks Ted “Swimmer” Kennedy as he changed immigration for the worse in 1965 (and we’ve had two mass amnesty gimme’s already) an famously infamously said “[O]ur cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually … Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset.”.  Yeah, that held up well, didn’t it?

Press Conference – RAISE Act. Can you say “smacked down” and “chopped to bits”?

The White House Press corp is fat, lazy, and think they know than they do.  Oh sure, they do snark but after watching these WH press updates, I’m not impressed with those that seem to have been deemed “the best of the best”.  It seems that on a lot of occasions, they do better at preening and put their desire to be in the limelight of the camera than they are in asking the questions that we in middle America want answered.  And none of them do preening and pretentious  is CNN’s Jim Acosta – pompous and clueless without knowing he’s either.

Stephen Miller, a Trump Senior Advisor came into the WH Press Room loaded with facts, a helpful dole of snark and hunting for journalistic prey –  Acosta never saw it coming and never stood a chance.  I was just laughing and laughing as each and every time Acosta kept trying to do the Progressive smear tactics.  Miller kept shooting him down as if he were a Ma Duece against a SJW looking for a safe space.

You go, Jim Acosta; you keep opening your mouth and just keep proving “Fake News”.  Here’s a phrase you need to be able to handle: P R E P A R E    B E T T E R.  If you want to be perceived as bright, do your homework.  But I’d rather you not as it does continue the stereotype that you journalists are both lazy and Democrats with Bylines.  (H/T: Townhall)

Granite Status Mentions Donations by “The Mooch” but Nothing about Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Union Leader LogoDan Tuohy’s Granite Status leads with  ‘The Mooch’ donated to NH politicians,’ including this gem.

Perhaps the surprising thing, based on the many donations reported to the FEC, is that Scaramucci didn’t also donate to Shaheen or another Granite State Democrat.

We could say the same thing about the scandalous Debbie Wasserman Schultz. There’s no record of her ever giving to a Republican. But then days after the congressional scandal broke Tuohy’s not the least bit interested in any monetary exchanges between Debbie Wasserman Schultz and New Hampshire Democrats.

The Collapse of the Individual Health Insurance Marketplace was The Point

Before the Democrat’s one-party assault on the insurance and health care system in the United States, while people complained about costs and coverage, no one was looking to prevent the collapse of the individual health insurance marketplace. No one even talked about it. Now they do. And Democrats are now pretending to care, after eight years of … Read more

The General – 1, The “Mooch” – 0

Yep, that lasted long short.  Anthony Scaramucci, who sold his very successful NY financial firm, became Trump’s Communications Director just 10 days ago.  His claim to fame, forever more, will be his wallpaper ripping, foul mouth self-introduction to the White House staff. Today, US Marine General John Kelly (and Marines are world class in 4 letter word utterances) became Trump’s Chief of Staff.

I bet when the Mooch ran into Kelly, he bounced backwards and landed on his gluteus maximus. Hard.  And then ust slouched outward.  Big mouth met Big Man.

So, who MIGHT be the next Comms Dir?  Heh – Conservative Treehouse has an idea:

Allen West: How Differently Would Senators Act Without the 17th Amendment?

We have interviewed Lt. Col Allen West in the past and were MOST impressed by this straight backed, straight talking man. I generally don’t abstract a whole post but I certainly agree with West. Progressives hate our Republic form of governance as they knew/know what our Founders knew – a direct democracy has always failed – which is why Progressives have always worked to move away from our original Constitutional checks and balances.  From CNSNews (emphasis ine):

You know, if you sit and read the entire Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers and the Constitution, you’ll come to realize how truly brilliant the Founding Fathers were. Today, we have an academic elite that sees them only through the lens of identity politics; often, they perceive them as old, slave-owning, white men.

But when you lucidly examine what they did, you’ll see, as Benjamin Franklin said, they gave us a Republic — if we could keep it. They gave us a governing structure not just focused on the near term, but could truly last forever. Sadly, we lack the intellectual regimen in our current system of indoctrination (not education!) to objectively study these fundamental ideas, principles and values. We used to call it civics, but now, via revisionist history, the progressive socialist left, as Barack Obama stated, is all about fundamentally transforming our nation.

And have been doing so since the 1890s.

Notable Quote – Nobel Laureat Jame Buchanan

Voter Fraud? Yep

voterfraudSince the state and local governments have often refused to look at the problem, individuals upset with this government failure to protect their votes have gotten their own project together to start cross-matching voter information – and it is starting to pay off (and a Hat Tip to the ‘Grok’s own (and Chair of CNHT) Ed Naile for doing a lot of the networking and info gathering here in NH). Emphasis mine, reformatted:

President Trump’s Advisory Commission on Election Integrity has set out to seek justice.

The Government Accountability Institute (GAI) discovered that “thousands of votes in the 2016 election were illegal duplicate votes from people who registered and voted in more than one state.”  GAI used lists of public voter data from only 21 states to match names birthdays and social security numbers to find 8,471 votes from 2016 were duplicated. You can estimate the number of fraudulent votes based on all 50 states and the GAI conservatively estimated that to be around 45,000. 45,000 duplicate votes.

It isn’t just Big Corp using Big Data techniques, folks

Senator Shaheen Suddenly Wants to Fix her Obamacare Disaster

shaheenvideo

On Friday, Senator Jeanne Shaheen posted a homemade video of herself talking to “constituents” in New Hampshire about the failure of the senate to pass a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. After ignoring her constituents for the past eight years, Shaheen suddenly wants them to believe she’s working for them.
