“Criminals won’t register their guns and shootings will continue”

clownsBY TERRY STEWART

“They simply aren’t wired to connect the dots to the logical conclusion that no amount of laws will stop evil people from doing evil things….
…for the anti-gun fanatics, shootings are the gift that keeps giving

I’ve known Terry for a few years now as we both served on our hamlet’s Budget Committee. I always found him to be thoughtful and one who did his homework.  That said, he’s never been one to suffer a fool on either side of the aisle and in this Letter to the Editor, he hoists one on his own petard. Emphasis mine.

***************

Isn’t it great when the clowns to the left claim to be “stuck in the middle with you”? They use words like “common sense” and “reasonable” as if there’s no doubt they are. The best part is when they claim they are pro Second Amendment because they own a gun and say that the Second Amendment is about protecting your house, like it’s true. Mr. Vervaeke should go back to school and read the Federalist Papers to find out why the Founding Fathers felt the right to bear arms is important. I hope that he reads what they actually said and not what he’d like it to say. Clearly, advocating for gun registration is exactly what the Founding Fathers didn’t want and preventing such measures is why the Second Amendment exists.

Quick Thought – tell me where in the Private Sector that gets these kinds of “raises”?

No more money for Entitlements

And in this case, it’s always the taxpayer that is taking in the shorts when our elected officials don’t “cherish” (more on Andru Volinsky in an upcoming post) other peoples money. John Cataldo has a great Op-Ed about “sustainability” or rather, how fiscally unsustainable many financial decisions are (emphasis mine):

Roughly 50 percent of city employees are on some kind of step and longevity pay scale. In one year under Yarger-Decker, an employee on the index could receive a step increase at 3 percent, a longevity increase at 2 percent, and a cost of living adjustment (COLA) negotiated at 3 percent. That is a total pay increase of 8 percent in a single given year. Compare that to the increase in spending allowed under the tax cap this year at 1.63 percent, and it is simply not sustainable.

They’re not the ones that have to deal with the aftermath – the union members get their money, the officials get an easier ride to reelection because they didn’t rile up the Special Interest Group better known as unions; they go after taxpayer wallets because WILLIE SUTTON! (er, the guy who famously said “it’s where the money is” when asked why he kept robbing banks).

Sadly, it’s leaking into the NH GOP: SB 1319

Democrat Agenda Item - Mothers-Day-gender

Kelly Ayotte, Scott Brown, Walt Haverstein – the ‘Grok DOES have a proven track record against those that promote the Democrat Agenda in any way, touts that they were bipartisan to the extent of voting more with Democrats than Republicans, or dissing the TEA Party.  You can throw in the GOP Platform Principles and both Constitutions into that mix. There are lesser luminaries as well along the way.

Who is next, I wonder, I wonder?

Republican Legisalture Gives NH Gov. Another Opportunity to Redistribute Wealth

BIO MESS ENERGYThe NH House and Senate have delivered three ‘energy bills’ to Governor Sununu that favor so-called green generation that drives up electric rates. One (SB446) expands net metering which means more pricey power from a wider range of sources. The second (SB365) prop up wood-burning plants. The third (SB577) subsidizes the Berlin Bio-Mass plant. All three divert money via higher rates to other people’s pockets.

At least one of them claims to save jobs, but as armchair economists know this doesn’t happen in a vacuum. The state through legislative force is taking money from the marketplace (job creators, consumers, and even municipalities) to prop up their mandates. Money that would otherwise find more productive uses.

Ammo Grrrll takes apart the always miserable Leftist.

Thanks PatriarchyI put up my own take on the perpetually aggrieved Professor of Gender Studies who, once again, proved that the Left can’t take ANY kind of a joke and has no problem in ruining a senior citizen’s career over her being offended (yep, that kind of a lout).  However, she renders judgement on Simona Sharoni in a way that I could not touch (emphasis mine):

In the long forgotten Victorian Era, one had to refer to a chair or piano “leg” as a “limb.” The word “leg” was so triggering to Victorian ladies that they would have to lie down on a fainting couch. Today’s “strong,” “independent” feminists have brought us full circle to where hearing “ladies’ lingerie” is an occasion for virtual fainting. And then A Grievously and Perpetually Offended Woman has to run right off and tattle to Big Daddy Executive Director. That’s one tough cookie of a feminist! In the event of trouble, I want nobody on my team who is rendered limp and “shaken” by the words “ladies’ lingerie.” Or by any mere words.

This great feminist hero, possibly angling for a job on MSNBC, declared AFTER the first round of apologies by Mr. Lebow – which, of course, were inadequate and unacceptable — “I have dedicated my life to confronting sexism and I cannot and will not remain silent when misogyny is in play.” To which I, a not insane woman, would say: “Bite me.”

The definition of insanity is…

pipe bomb…doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome.  Today we saw it proved once again with a side dish of pure Evil (something that the Left cannot acknowledge unless one is white, middle aged (or more), conservative, and Christian).  The insanity is this from the Sante Fe, TX Teacher Handbook:

Employees, visitors, and students, including those with a license to carry a handgun, are prohibited from bringing firearms, illegal knives, or other weapons onto school premises or any grounds or building where a school-sponsored activity takes place.”

And amplified in the Student version:

Fireworks of any kind, smoke or stink bombs, or any other pyrotechnic device; a razor, box cutter, chain, or any other object used in a way that threatens or inflicts bodily injury to another person; a ‘look-alike’ weapon; an air gun or BB gun; ammunition; a stun gun; a pocketknife or any other small knife.”

look-son-an-angry-purple-haired-woman-dressed-as-a-vagina-24949691As written and passed into law Title X specifically prohibits “taxpayer support for abortion as a method of family planning.”

U.S. Department of Education investigates Yale for Discriminating Against Men

yale-university-1604157_960_720It was only a matter of time.

According to a letter dated April 26, the department’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is investigating seven Yale initiatives, including the Yale Women Faculty Forum, the Working Women’s Network, the Yale University Women’s Organization,  and the Yale Women’s Campaign School.

These initiatives allegedly provide, to varying degrees, scholarships, professional development, academic opportunities, and summer programs exclusively to female students and professors, the complaint alleges.

The Equity movement has nothing to do with equality and inclusion because the terms contradict each other.

Hey, JHo, stop lying – Your “we need a conversation” has been going on since the 60s

Jennifer Horn with Kool-AidYou and Eric Holder (he of the “I believe, continue to be, in too many ways, a nation of cowards” slam against the US) are of the same ilk.  Really, do you really think you own the moral high-horse to be telling the rest of us we have to have a conversation (or else!) like what Hillary said?

And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”

Yeah, this coming from a tax cheat – so much for moral high ground (and cheating a small businessman to boot) and who booted others from the NH GOP Committee simply because they stood up to her (so much for THEIR conversations, eh JHo?):

“What unfolded at the convention completely blindsided us,” Horn said. “We were unaware that there was going to be a challenge or there were any concerns.

Metzler ‘School Board Choir’ Sings Praises, Hands Out Maximum Bonus!

The Earl of MetzlerThe Earl of Metzler, Grand Vizier (SAU55), praise be upon him, is thus bequeathed an increase in his annual stipend and a cash reward for; keeping the ‘little people’ down through the prodigious use of taxpayer monies to finance acts of legal force against his detractors (or threat thereof); the intimidation of political opponents who might question his divine guidance; and by using all means at this disposal to thwart efforts at transparency during his rule.

Well, that’s what it should have said. Instead, we got this.
