This is as good a time as any to discuss the unholy alliance to advance the Green New Deal between “capitalist titans” and green Marxists — an incredibly anti-free-market anti-business agenda that is using what appears to be military dominance tactics to achieve escape velocity.
Bonner Cohen, writing at the Daily Caller, introduces us to how this confluence of interests appears to be using “a military doctrine that arose in the Pentagon in the early 2000s. “Full-Spectrum Dominance,” also known as “Full-Spectrum Superiority.” And Biden’s recent energy and environmental Executive Orders (and related rules changes) could create a “hegemony …without effective opposition or prohibitive interference.”
Cohen labels this Green Full Spectrum Dominance. It’s a scary bit of phone and pen EO gymnastics that, if left unchallenged, has dire consequences for the middle and lower classes, America, and our way of life. And that appears to be precisely what they are after.
A few key points from the piece
Point One.
[T]he White House was deadly serious when — in office for less than a week — it pledged a “whole of government” approach to combatting what it told the public was a “climate crisis.” …[and]
The lengths to which the administration and its allies are willing to go to force a transition to a green energy future go far beyond government regulations and presidential executive orders.
Point Two
[T]he energy transition is part of a larger transformation of society pursued by a woke elite intent on cementing and expanding its own power and wealth, with scant regard for the consequences this will have on people of middle- or lower income.
Point Three
At the societal level, the left achieves full-spectrum dominance by having its ideological allies — inside and outside of government — control the levers of economic, legal, political, and cultural power.
Pint Four
Not in their wildest dreams could Gramsci or Dutschke have imagined that a future generation of capitalist titans would lock arms with the left in the march to transform society along progressive lines. But that’s exactly what 21st century oligarchs in the U.S. and elsewhere in the West are doing. … [AND]
“The giant capital controllers, like Dimon and Fink, have teamed up with heads of western governments and the Biden Administration in particular, to deny and constrain citizen rights while they continue to live – and intend to keep living – billionaire lifestyles,”
Point Five
Just as green Full-Spectrum Dominance can be imposed domestically, it can — by manipulating tariffs and the lending practices of international finance institutions — be used to force poorer countries in the Global South to meet climate goals set by elites in wealthy countries.
This is green colonialism, or as Saint Greta called it, Climate Change Colonialism. “A climate transition that violates human rights.” Greta was trying to stop a wind farm that would infringe on the lands of indigenous people in Norway. It is an odd objection that seems (like most of Greta’s activism) misplaced. The world’s new not-so-green capitalist energy titans have long been working alongside the watermelon Marxists to tear up African countries for rare earth metals—places where people may have a legitimate claim to being from there (truly indigenous).
The by-product of this unholy red-green axis is a massive public health crisis killing millions of brown people as the work harms workers and despoils local land and rivers for miles. These modern green robber barons don’t care about that, so it is safe to assume that exerting diplomatic, financial (or as-needed) military pressure to keep the third world from ever escaping poverty will be easy work as long as they keep doing the hard work of mining the Elites fraudulent net-zero future.
We may even have to add a few far-flung foreign wars over mining rights. Projecting power not to enhance and improve every aspect of our lives – which fossil fuels undeniably did – but to lower every standard by which Western prosperity can be measured for the amusement of the globalists in the name of a problem that doesn’t exist.
