A State GOP That Abides Abortion-Up-To-Birth Should NOT Host The First GOP Presidential Primary

I assume that by the time this is posted, Cornerstone’s post regarding the passage of HB 224 … the de facto repeal of the ban on post-six-months abortions … will have been posted. The point of this post is that there will be NO consequences for the “Republican” Reps who voted with the Democrats to allow abortion-up-to-birth … NHGOP “leadership” will simply go on with business as usual. And that should disqualify New Hampshire from hosting the First-in-the-Nation GOP Presidential primary.

NHGOP “leaders” will … as they always do … tell us that the majority of the House GOP voted against HB 244. The same tired refrain we have been hearing for at least the past 30 years … it was the RINOs; it was the RINOs; it was the RINOs. NOT good enough.

The failure to take any action against these Reps (names below) … for example, loss of committee assignments, loss of funding from the State Party … indicates that preventing late-term abortions is NOT a priority for the NHGOP. And that shows that the NHGOP is hopelessly out-step with the Republican Party as a whole on abortion, as well as a host of other issues. New Hampshire is not a barometer of the Republican Party or the country … it has no business hosting the First-in-the-Nation GOP Presidential primary.
