Yep, Another “Man in the Street”: They Can’t Even Say What Country Queen Elizabeth II Was From?

Sheesh.  I would have thought that with her illness starting to show up in late August, that would have been “pop news” and might have had a bit more recognition than normal from the younger (and ill-educated) set.  Sigh, not so much.

Our form of government was meant for a serious people and these chuckleheads are about as unserious about what the REAL important stuff is. But, what do I know – why should I expect them to know where Queen Elizabeth was from when they have no idea what their own Governor’s name is, how many branches of Government there are (this was really bad when I watched it), or when was the War of 1812?

So, here’s another MitS segment that will make their Moms and Dads EVAH so proud of the tuition money they spent:

In a recent video, YouTuber James Klug set out on a journey to ask members of Gen Z basic questions about the United States, geography and world history, among other subjects. Some of the answers he received are incredibly discouraging.

“We’ve all seen those videos showing how little Gen Z knows about literally everything, so today we’ve come to Los Angeles, California, and we’re gonna figure out if this is really the case,” Klug said at the beginning of the video. He then hit the streets to ask people his various questions.

  • How many stars are on the United States flag?
  • What ocean is on the east side of the United States?
  • What country is the Queen of England from?

and this:

  • What is the capital of the United States?

Oh, and that reference to pop culture?  This proves it:

yet they did not hesitate to identify the three Kardashian sisters as “Khloe, Kim and Kourtney.”

And this was downright dispiriting:

For example, a group of women from Ireland were able to correctly identify the number of stars on the U.S. flag and the capital of the United States.

IRELAND!!!  And Americans can’t?  And the Teachers Unions are SO proud of the product they churn out?

But those American children certainly will know their pronouns and identify the Oppressors in society, amirite?
