The Left-coast has a radical notion. They can pretend they’ve achieved net zero emissions by offshoring emissions to foreign and third-world countries with less environmental regulation. A dirtier world, just not in their backyard.

As we’ve noted before, when Democrats say Net Zero, it doesn’t mean emissions. It means choices. You get none. You will drive an electric vehicle, or you’ll not drive at all. To achieve that goal Gavin Nuisance and his pack of green jackals intends to fine automakers who don’t sell enough electric vehicles beginning in 2035.
California passed a new regulation on Aug. 25 that will require 100% of new cars sold in California by 2035 to be electric, up from the current 12%. Interim targets also require 35% of vehicles sold in the state by 2026 to produce zero emissions, rising to 68% by 2030.
California aims to enforce its rules by penalizing automakers up to $20,000 per vehicle if they fail to meet the state’s sales quotas.
Who among us understands that this meddling will result in fewer “automakers” selling vehicles (or at least fewer dealerships)? That means less competition for already expensive vehicles most people can’t afford (or charge).
California Democrats have also passed a law outlawing independent truckers. Drivers who refuse to be employees of the companies for whom they ship will have to pay 20,000.00 to California for permits and insurance. That’s bad, but it gets worse. California is also plotting to ban diesel trucks. You know, in the name of net zero.
The proposal would require medium and heavy-duty trucks entering ports and railyards to be fully electric by 2035, according to the report.
They believe that these emissions “disproportionately affect low-income and minority communities due to racist zoning policies.” Zoning policies in place for decades in Democrat-run urban toilets?
Blame the truckers while offshoring emissions in exchange for false EV prophets whose parts/manufacture happens to the detriment of people of color someplace else.
The mining, transportation, processing, and manufacture; maybe even assembly, using dirty coal, most likely, and emitting all sorts of things into the planet’s atmosphere.
That’s a great plan, Governor Nuisance. One quick question. If it’s called “global” warming, or Climate change, or whatever the name is this month, how is offshoring emissions to foreign and third-world countries with less environmental regulation better for the planet?
And if all your vehicles are electric, where do you plan to pilfer the nearly 8 billion a year you collect in gas taxes? And if no one can afford to buy the cars or to drive them and those that do can’t even charge their vehicles, how is a mileage tax going to replace all the revenue? And who is likely to be disproportionately affected by that? People who are trapped on the government dole, perhaps, and can’t afford food or electricity – not that California will have much of either, thanks to Democrats.
It’s just more planned destruction that Democrats in other states seek to emulate.
What if we got rid of Governor Nuisance and the Democrats running California and America? In every state, from sea to shining sea.
It’s THE only plan that can save America.
