Much like America’s southern border, the word recession no longer has much meaning. Not because we haven’t got one, or both, we do. They are very real. But sometimes, if you know a guy, you can change how they are perceived or even what they mean.
Wikipedia, the world’s least reliable resource, is – according to Wikipedia,
“… a bureaucracy, with increasingly complicated rules that can be edited by anyone, and a hierarchy of privileged users who enforce these rules, sometimes contradictory. These rules have been used to delete useful information and informative images and to deface articles through over-application of bureaucratic processes.”
I know we can’t trust that, but it is quickly corroborated elsewhere and, if you’ve ever used it, through practice. And while anyone can edit it, very few edits are likely to survive the peer review process, which is dominated by a hierarchy of privileged users. They also happen to be increasingly woke and left-leaning.
The progs took over that “institution” as well. So, finding the definition of “recession” change to protect the current Democrat regime was a necessary step. Millions of people use the thing, and perception matters.
So, how about the perception of getting caught doing it?
Holy shit they just changed the definition of “recession” on Wikipedia
And it’s locked from further editing

More than a few folks agree with Arora, but over at Vigilant Links, they’ve got another editing suggestion for Wikipedia. A change to the definition of “definition.”
You might as well get it over with, yes? If up is down, left is right, in is out, boys are girls, borders don’t exist except where Democrats need them, and we’re not in a recession after two-quarters of negative GDP, then what’s stopping you from changing anything or everything on a whim?
Here in New Hampshire, the Left redefined what a resident was a few years back so they could win more seats. Then they redefined what election rights meant. And I guess that DNC took the hint.
The border is open to change the meaning of citizens because of elections, so no matter how bad off you are economically, we’ll never enter a recession as long as a Democrat occupies the White House.
But wait until – if ever – there is another Republican sitting behind the Resolute Desk.
Update: And … this just in!
Doocy: Deese said in 2008…'economists have a definition…of a recession, which is two consecutive quarters of negative growth' & yesterday he said, two negative quarters…is not the technical definition of a recession.
KJP: It is not.
