Steve, as Editor, is going to hate me for the title but I wanted the effect from the original (NotTheBee) post. It’s not bad enough that a tiny sliver of the overall population has decided that they can demand that we can only use certain coerced speech in and out of their presence and that Government (e.g., School Boards and Administration) is forcing it on all of the rest of us.
As shown by the actress Ellen Page Twitter outrage (where Twitter suspended Dr. Jordan Peterson for calling “Elliot” Page by his “deadname” (re: Ellen) and “misgendering” (calling him a her), and then followed that up by doing the same to Dave Rubin for supporting Peterson, Big Tech is “leaning in” on demanding that the rest of us only use the language THEY allow us to have or off to THEIR gulags as well.
Sidenote: for those not sufficiently Woke, when Ellen Page “transitioned” from a woman to trying to be a man, she changed her name to Elliot. To call her Ellen is now “deadnaming” – using a name that is no longer appropriate in HER eyes and all those that believe that one can flip their gender/sex like a light switch and DEMAND we affirm it. “Misgendering” is when people like Peterson, Rubin, and myself are refusing to go along with this psychological (and biological – I AM a biologist!) call she who wants to be known as a he, a she. Or the other way around.
But that’s yet another simple case of redefining our common language of he/him/his, she/her/hers, and they/them/theirs for a political agenda (in this case “Transgender Politics”). Let’s forget, for the moment, the GALAXY of made-up words that are supposed to represent an ever-changing notion of such an individual. Why?
NOW you will be expected to INSTANTLY identify what you are talking to (is “what” now “gender fluid neutral” or still a made-up slur? Who knows – and who cares anymore unless you are that self-absorbed, confused, narcissistic little twit that’s both delusional and demands that the rest of us join in and affirm this fantasy that you’re something you aren’t. Like this special person.
I used her as an example at the next to last Gilford School Board meeting to show how absurd things are getting even as Nicole Hogan, one of the two School Board members wants to rewrite all of the policies with all these new pronouns. Glad to see that the Chair, Jeanin Onos, swept that idea and the objections to “no” that came after it. Marginalized people, Nicole? All you’re accomplishing is marginalizing PARENTS by insisting that the part of Policy JBAB that gives the School Board the Power (without State Law GIVING them said Power) to lie to Parents about the Transgender status of my Grandson. But I digress (but had to get that off my chest. Again)…

Can someone REALLY be this self-indulgent? Er, yup! Her parents either failed at teaching her that Galileo proved that she is not the center of either our solar system or our universe. In fact, she’s hardly a satellite of anyone at all but thinks we are all going to do this to make HER feel good about herself?

I’m an engineer (even if retired). Engineers, in the end, hate chaos (during the beginning and middle, chaos is tolerated while making things work. But they have to work). I’m not putting up with this crapola whose only purpose is to make people think the rest of us have to put up with them AND make things so chaotically stupid and fluid that our brains turn to much.
Which is, if you read Socialist and Communist materials, is what they want. Provide ENOUGH chaos, create ENOUGH instability, and people will do almost anything to be saved from that condition.
Doubt me? Read more history. THIS country is getting to that tipping point.
