Fake News: New Hampshire Bulletin Misinforms About Cause Of Electric Price Increases

Steve recently posted about the virtually unbelievable increase (50 percent) in electric prices in store for New Hampshire:

Local utilities serving the Granite State are preparing to adjust what they charge for electricity. The cost of natural gas has skyrocketed, and that pain is about to find ratepayers’ pockets.

Amanda Gokee of the “New Hampshire Bulletin,” in her “reporting” on this rate increase, claims that the, in relative terms, low price of natural gas we saw under President Trump simply “evaporated.” In other words, the Biden-regime is blameless:

“I think people are really going to feel this in their pocketbooks. It’s going to be a very unpleasant winter for everyone in New Hampshire,” said Kreis, adding that low prices for natural gas have lulled the state and region into complacency over the last decade.

Those low prices have evaporated, with some natural gas prices reaching $8.78 per British thermal unit in May, the highest they’ve been since 2008. Projections show that cost more than tripling to $30 per Btu.

Gokee, needless to say, either has no idea what she is talking about or is LYING.

I will go with the latter because it is common knowledge that the cost of fossil fuels has skyrocketed because the Biden regime has been attempting to destroy the domestic fossil fuel industry. For example, here is the Imposter/Figurehead President praising the skyrocketing cost of gas. “And when it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,”

The low cost of natural gas and other fossil fuels did NOT evaporate, they were deliberately vaporized by the Biden-regime. The “very unpleasant winter for everyone in New Hampshire” is by design.
