And the Left is ALWAYS stating that all Domestic Terrorism is committed by those on the Right? Timely poll, given the Leftist that wanted to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanagh and his family:
According to a recently released poll, nearly half of male Democrats under the age of 50 (44 %) say it’s acceptable to assassinate a politician “who is harming the country or our democracy,” the highest percentage of any age/gender/party demographic. The poll, which was conducted by Tulchin Research for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), also found that nearly a third of younger Democrat women and younger Republican men agreed with the statement, as did 40% of younger Republican women.
I am both gobsmacked and flummoxed by the results -but I shouldn’t be surprised. It’s a constant theme that I can summarize like this:
It’s not the gun that kills, it’s the man/woman using the gun.
I’ve been railing about the degraded culture that the Left has been de-normalizing since the 1960s – we are all reaping what they sowed in the intervening decades. With the denigration by popular culture of religious faith (aka, do not murder), the “triteness” of how important Life is (e.g., abortion, euthanasia, and the wild abandon to “even” aggrievances with death), emotion over reason, and the emphasis that *I* come first before others, one should not be surprised at the result.
It’s plain scary.
That old saw “Conservatives think Progressives are misguided, Progressives think Conservatives are evil” has gone on steroids. Seriously – assassinate someone?
That’s Banana Republic area. That’s Third World environs…oh wait!
Didn’t we all watch this, sometimes in real time, during the Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots? Nothing mattered except for themselves – no regard for others’ property, businesses, or lives.
Welcome to what the Democrats have wrought.
And just wait until the Right has finally had enough and goes “OK, dudes – you set the New Rules and now we’re gonna play by them as well”.
