Counties With Facemask Mandates Had 85% More “COVID Case Death”

There is extensive research on why masking healthy people is not just a bad idea. It can be dangerous to their health. From hypoxia to pulmonary fibrosis, masks mandates are a considerable public health risk.

So, what if, on top of that, they resulted in more COVID deaths?

Dr. Zacharias Fögen, who favors masking to reduce viral infection (for those keeping score), has a research paper published  in Medicine that you might want to share with your local politicians and health “experts.”

Fögen analyzed data in Kansas counties and came to this conclusion (emphasis mine).

(Daily Sceptic) It is about whether masks decrease case fatality from COVID-19 (because less viral material is transmitted) or increase it. Increase sounds illogical? Ask yourself if you would wear the mask of a Covid patient. You probably wouldn’t, otherwise you could become infected by inhaling the viruses he or she breathed into the mask.

My study, based on the U.S. state of Kansas, provides the answer: case mortality was significantly lower in counties without mandatory masks. Mandatory masking increased case mortality there by 85%.

Fögen still believes masking has a place in reducing viral transmission, by the way. He is not a so-called “anti-masker.” But he has demonstrated through his research and analysis that masks and mask mandates may contradict their stated purpose. Instead of improving public health, they make matters significantly worse.

This contradiction is not new or “news” to our readers. We’ve shared mounds of data on the problem of mass masking, primarily as political theater.

Politicians and public health officials have been quick to impose mask mandates because it looks like they are doing something. And they are – they are making people sick.

The data and expert commentary we have shared indicate that masking the non-symptomatic or a-symptomatic can do more harm to them than good for the same reason masking the symptomatic resulted in 85% more COVID death in Fögen’s study.

Masks block a prime bodily defense mechanism for foreign invasion. The ability to exhale your human exhaust into an environment where it may be diluted or destroyed by nature.

Rebreathing your own exhaled breath for hours every day produces a significant risk to human health, not the least of which is inhaled fibers from masks worn or handled repeatedly throughout the day or even over days. Pulmonary Fibrosis is a slow death that begins with tiny fibers deeply embedded into lung tissue. There is no treatment or cure, and mass masking will likely increase cases and deaths from this condition in years to come.

To “protect” people from an infection that nearly 100% of them would survive. People that –  thanks to mask mandates – may have suffered a more severe illness (requiring hospitalization) or even death when neither would have been the case absent masking mandates.

Looking at counties in Kansas with and without Mask Mandates, Fögen’s data shows that counties without mandates had fewer COVID deaths than those with them.

The cause of this trend is explained herein using the “Foegen effect” theory; that is, deep re-inhalation of hypercondensed droplets or pure virions caught in facemasks as droplets can worsen prognosis and might be linked to long-term effects of COVID-19 infection. While the “Foegen effect” is proven in vivo in an animal model, further research is needed to fully understand it.

I’m not sure he has naming rights to something observed or repeatedly reported for two years, but we need to call it something. And his data-crunching in Kansas gives the theory long legs. Mask-mandated counties had significantly more COVID deaths.

This means that we should also expect the pro-mask machine to rebut this with contrary “research” even if they have to invent a project and publish a shoddy paper that will inevitably be retracted.

And before you go off half-cocked on some pro-mask rant, take a few minutes to listen to the testimony of Stephen Petty. He is an industrial hygienist—an expert on the topic. And I think you’ll find that The Fögen  Effect’ makes perfect sense.

Common sense.

I also recommend Dr. Collen Huber’s “The Defeat of COVID.” It is loaded with research papers, including several on making, and is the source for my comments n the threat of Pulmonary Fibrosis.

And finally, to recap, this paper found that mandatory masking resulted in 85% more COVID-case fatalities. If the goal is to reduce COVID, hospitalization and death, mask mandates need to stop.
