Since Ken Won’t Respond to My Responses to His Emails … Maybe He’ll Read them Here!

Ken Hajjar wants a live interview so he can discredit me. He says I published “non-factual defamatory information” in this piece about the Londonderry School Board election.

I don’t see anything in the original piece that rises remotely to the level of defamation. An incorrect opinion, observation, or a linked source that’s wrong – that’s always a possibility.  But I’m more than happy to help Ken rebut, refute or correct the record – if that’s what this is.

If we got it that wrong, let’s fix it. If someone else got it wrong (linked sources) let’s correct those.

I suggested he send in an op-ed, and I’d consider publishing it. Consider, because we do not guarantee publication based solely on submitting material. I also suggested that Skip might be willing to do a sit-down interview. Skip loves those.

Here’s Ken’s email to me.

Dear Sir,
I read a recent story written by you in which I was named. Your piece contained a good deal of non-factual defamatory information. I am offering you an opportunity to get the story right. Please respond when you are able and willing to interview me with a video camera in the room.
Sincerely,
Ken Hajjar

Hi Ken,

Thanks for reaching out. If you’d like to write an op-ed to address these or other claims sent to my attention – or anything at all about LHS, AccuVote, “interesting stories about LHS associate employees swapping out memory cards mid-election,” anything that interests you, I’ll happily have a look.

I might even publish it.

Otherwise, I’m all set.

Skip, on the other hand, might be interested in recording an interview. I’ve cc’d him in this reply.

Steve

Ken wrote the next day. No evidence of my reply, but I got this with the subject line, ‘I’m waiting.’

I sent you an email yesterday which I know you read. Now the question comes down to whether you have the courage to follow up on your claims and your innuendos. I don’t believe you do. I will give you another one or two days and then I will discredit you in other ways.

Have a nice day,
Ken Hajjar

Note: Skip here – I’m intruding into Steve’s post as I also emailed this Ken Hajjar who is now setting a pattern – he didn’t answer Steve and he didn’t answer me, either:

I was out of the office all day yesterday at the two events (Concord, NH and then Dartmouth College) so I specifically looked to see if Hajjar emailed me back.  No answer, so no interview.

He’s now a mere ghostly apparition from my standpoint – no answer.  As they say in Texas, “All hat and no cattle”?

So back to Steve…

Ken says he knows I read his email but did not respond to what I sent him in his response. The rest is just BS in my opinion. If you can’t stay on the thread why are we doing this?

Let’s try again.

Hey, Ken.

I replied to your email shortly after receiving it which you did not include in your response. I’m not sure why but I offered you the opportunity to rebut the details in an op-ed and told you Skip Murphy might be willing to interview you.
Skip is the majority owner of GraniteGrok.com. Your accusations have piqued his curiosity.
I believe he is willing and will be in contact. He has seen your email to me and is reading up on what I shared and the links where those details were found online.
I’d like to be clear. We have always been willing to correct errors in stories, opinions, and reporting. That’s why I offered you the choice of sending in an Op-Ed.
If you prefer an in-person Interview, Skip will make those arrangements.
Please be sure to use that time to correct whatever needs correcting.
His email is skip@granitegrok.com and is is copied in this reply.

So, why share all of this? Ken (apparently) finds out about blog posts with his name in them but doesn’t see responses to emails he sends people about those posts. Maybe they are in his spam folder and he’ll read them here. Or perhaps I’m just making a point.

Ken could have written the op-ed instead of the playground bully BS, and you’d be reading that instead of this. Or, he could reach out to Skip to record a statement.

I’m waiting, Ken. Well, not really. I’m just using you to create more content.

We’ve going about our business, and if you would like us to help you reveal this truth you are carrying, we’ve offered to help. If you don’t like the terms, then “have the courage” to say so. But it’s our blog, so our rules.

If you don’t like them start your own. Some guy in Derry said he was going to do that and we’re still waiting on him too.
