We have free speech in America, but I will not fight to the death to defend your right to promote tyranny.
I will defend the right of anyone to speak freely, which means the right to rebut, refute, challenge, criticize, reply, respond or display opinions to ensure the message of tyranny is not the only thing people are permitted to write, speak, or hear.
You control what you say and what you think you mean when you say it, but you do not control what other people hear when you speak or what they think you mean.
Free speech allows debate to work through all of that or not. There is no coercion or limitation.
The political Left wants to control both sides of that equation. To be free to say whatever they want while controlling what their words and your words mean.
If you control words, you control debate, ideas, and even thought.
Everything the Left does is focused on that goal. The top down control of words, meaning, and ideas under the assumption that they will be in control.
