Democrats: They Burnt Out “Progressive”, Then “Liberal”, Transitioned Back to “Progressive”, but Now To…..”Populist”

by

Meanwhile, Conservatives and Libertarians continue to use, well, Conservatives and Libertarians to signal their political philosophies.  Democrats, on the other hand, keep making a hash in what they are.

Heh!  Might I take a swipe in saying that they don’t know what they are?  While that was fun to type, the answer is no.   But first, this (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Progressive Dem candidates: Please don’t call us “progressive”

Right now the progressive brand isn’t great in jurisdictions that are less than indigo blue. And savvy progressives know it. And so this fall’s progressive candidates are … transitioning, for lack of a better word. They may have been born progressive but they identify as populist.

Left-wing candidates from Pennsylvania to North Carolina to Missouri are shying away from the P-word on the campaign trail, in messaging and online fundraising, and even in media blitzes, signaling an attempt to rebrand their wing of the party as Democrats debate how to win the midterm elections.

Especially the giant Shrek-looking dude running in Pennsylvania, who’s as intimidating as a pro wrestler and may well win the state’s Senate race provided that voters don’t find out that he’s about as far left as AOC and Ilhan Omar.

Yep, their policies are THAT bad (and this time, can or will they blame the Socialists like The Squad and their posse like Annie Kuster (D-NH)?) in that they have to, once, call themselves something that they are not. It’s the old “use another word because we burnt out the present one, again” in play.  Same policies in play, they just want to message themselves as not what they were (even as they still are).  To prove it, all you have to do is ask is “Does this policy or program grow the size, power, or intrusiveness of Government?”.

Sure, “Populist” means “for the people”.  And if these Progressive/ Socialists turn that verbal corner, you’ll never know what is behind that smoke and curtain.  And you certainly won’t know what their political philosophies are. And that’s the entire point – pulling the wool over your eyes in trying to have you believe they are something they aren’t (and admit it in those two articles).

You know, like the transgender movement – having you believe something that really isn’t true.

Even worse, everything they do (and I repeat myself) put Government above you. In the end, you don’t matter as you are just a means to gain Power.
