Earlier today, Laconia School Board Chair Aaron Hayward sent me an email stating that they had received my RSA 91:A demand. I was rather surprised as most of the SAUs, when responding to citizen-based RTKs usually slough it off to their Superintendents.
Good step (on the rubric of “Spank’em when they’re wrong and Thank’em when they’re right”) on his part – taking it on for the team and not making an employee handle the dirty work (like SAU16 Superintendent David Ryan had to when I sent my other RTK to the Brentwood School Board).
Fairly non-committal but at least it was only two days in coming – no stretching it to the maximum of five business days per The Law.

I will update you on our progress with collating those materials, and that content review process, when I have more information.Thank you,Aaron Hayward, LSB Chair Ward 3
To recap:
- The original Letter that was sent to me is here that was sent to the entire Laconia School Board (making it a Public Document).
- Laconia School Board Chair Aaron Hayward’s threatening email to Laconia School Board member Dawn Johnson was here (and reminding him via my RSA91:A demand that it is a PUBLIC DOCUMENT given he also sent it to the Laconia School District Superintendent Steve Tucker and Asst Superintendent Amy Hinds)
It will be interesting to see what the lawyer does for “redacting”. That’s ok – my lawyer is on standby.
