So, Marylyn and Albert Todd of the Voter Integrity Group Believe GraniteGrok Is Theirs to Make Demands Against? Part 3

VIP Rye Canvas

If you missed them, Part 1 is here (the intro) and Part 2 is here (Marylyn Todd’s unsolicited texts to me to which I didn’t respond).  Part 3 is about the unsolicited texts to me from her hubby, Albert (aka, AJ).

Unlike with Marylyn, I did respond to his, but rather undramatically. But, I’ll let you be the judge of my opinion on that.

All due to the fact that I refused to put up their ad for their event.  I’d ask, before you read Albert’s texts, to visit or revisit Part 2 and read Marylyn’s texts.

So, let’s get right to it:

This is Aj.

I am reaching out to you to hopefully establish a common ground here.

I understand that you are good friends with Ken and that Ken does not like my wife Marylyn. As such you are choosing to censor the NHVIG.

But here’ s the problem with that strategy. By doing this you are hurting the entire state. We have proof of phantom voters and we need help canvassing.

This is about a big picture not about one guys vendetta against someone else

Whereupon I made my first response to Marylyn’s and Albert’s unsolicited texts:

Skip (me): We’re not putting up the ad.

And then he responded back with what I believed to be a very, VERY persuasive argument:

You’re being a child

We are going to do it the hard way then.

Whereby I repeated my self to make sure he (and Marylyn) understood my position):

Skip (me): GraniteGrok is not going to have anything to do with you.

And he continued:

Just served the country for you and spit in my face

Can’t even take a phone call

People like you make me regret my decision in ever serving. You weren’t worth the sacrifice

By the way that’s not what I wanted to talk to you about.

You pride yourself on no censorship but your literally censoring the facts of New Hampshire’s election info from being released

Let’s do a walkthrough, shall we? Marylyn wrote a lot – he wrote little but got to his point which TOTALLY missed the mark:

1. I understand that you are good friends with Ken and that Ken does not like my wife Marylyn. As such you are choosing to censor the NHVIG

What I do with GraniteGrok is MY concern and if either Marylyn or Albert had done their homework (gee, this comes up again?), they would have discovered that since 2006,since we opened the door,  NO ONE tells me what to do (or not do) with GraniteGrok or what I write about. The insinuation that Ken tells me what to do is ludicrous – the only person, besides TMEW, that has any material effect on how GraniteGrok is run is Steve, my biz-partner in this. Ken is a very good friend; I listen to him like I do all the other Groksters, but the decisions come down to me.

And in this case, Albert is dead wrong – it’s what they did that that had a consequence.

You know, also, that I can’t censor ANYONE – there are too many media outlets out there and if they REALLY wanted to get their message out, they should have tried other sites. But they were lazy, apparently, and were demanding that the ‘Grok carry it as if I have no say in their matter. Bad decision – which is why this series will continue (and there is a reason WHY it will continue).

This argument, that I censored them, is similar to that of the Left that has, for 70 years, said the US’s sanctions on Cuba is the reason why it is in such bad shape economically.  That ignores two things:

  1. The effect of bad governance on the people (even as the Castros became billionaires)
  2. We’re just one country – there are lots of other countries that they could have trade relations with. Again, see #1.

2. By doing this you are hurting the entire state.

No, no I’m not. But trying to make me feel guilty, just like the race-baiters pushing Critical Race Theory are trying to make me feel guilty for ALL the “sins” of my identity group (e.g., People of Pallor) have done since 1619 (well before the founding of this country), that I’m responsible for “hurting NH”. No, I’m not.

What I am doing is refusing to be used. See, that is one of the sins against me that I do not forgive. Here he is, just like Marylyn, using a guilt trip to make me back down. Heh!

Mom could do it – when I was young. She was quite good at it as well. However, that technique started to fail and she realized it and let it fall on the floor. The Todds have been too successful with it (stories coming later) thus far in NH and thought it would work again. How’d that work out fer ya, eh?

3. This is about a big picture not about one guys vendetta against someone else

He assumes that I care. I don’t. If he has a beef with Ken, or the other way around, that’s between them and not me. Again, *I* run GraniteGrok and I’m not running because of a personal beef between other folks even if one writes for me. But he wants to believe that the ONLY reason why I rejected the ad is that Ken said to. Once again, an assumption that has no basis in fact. MY decision, made on my own.

4. Just served the country for you and spit in my face…People like you make me regret my decision in ever serving. You weren’t worth the sacrifice

Read that again. So because I refused to run a single ad, he’s sorry he ever served?  And again, you have to love his kiss-off of me – “not worth the sacrifice”.

If you served because of me, you served for the wrong reason. If you based your service on the idea that a single refused ad can make you such a victim, you served for the wrong reason.

And no, to cut to the chase, I did not serve. But I am a double Blue Star Dad and I was one of those that was always on edge when a strange car rolled into my driveway – would uniformed men get out of the car?

But he saved the best (worst?) for last:

5. You pride yourself on no censorship but your literally censoring the facts of New Hampshire’s election info from being released

True to form – persuasive, not. Guilt tripping? Yup.

No, it’s not me that’s censoring you. Go ahead – let me know what other media outlets you’ve tried to place your ad with. What was your success rate?
