A few years back, Australia got this great idea. Let’s take everyone’s firearms, and with very little resistance, the people let it happen. Now, a few years later, Australia is becoming a public-health terror-state. What’s old is new. Australia is becoming a penal colony again.

Plus, there were several celebrities produced by the convict era, including Australia’s most infamous outlaw, Ned Kelly; the country’s first novelist, Henry Savery; celebrated architect Francis Greenway; and,William Buckley, “the wild white man” who escaped captivity and lived out his days with the Aboriginal Watourong tribe.
And what have they become?
- The army has been drafted to force people to stay in their homes, going door-to-door to check for compliance.
- Police helicopters circle overhead, threatening anyone in parks or public spaces with police action and fines;
- [T]here is genuine fear over being caught outside without a permissible excuse.
- No one is allowed more than 5 kilometers from their home address.
- Only one person per household may leave to purchase supplies once a day.
- Sydney-siders are not permitted to speak to friends or stop to browse; they may only get what they need and return home.
And now we’ve got this.
In a press conference yesterday from Victoria, Premier Daniel Andrews proclaimed that vaccinated citizens in the state of Victoria will be allowed out of lockdown in the near future. However, freedom as defined by access to medical treatment, the ability to work, shopping, attending events and engagement in the economy writ large, will not be permitted for any non-vaccinated citizen. Anyone who is not vaccinated will remain in locked-down isolation as enforced by the state.
This crazy is not limited to the rebirthed penal colony in Australia. Everywhere you look, people, organizations, businesses, even sports leagues are requiring ane promoting a vaccine that, unless you are a convict in a penal colony without bandwidth of any sort, you know, does not prevent you from catching or spreading COVID.
It does nothing literally while increasing risk to people who have nothing at all to fear from COVID.
On top of that, there are treatments available for the people who get it and are at risk.
But we’re supposed to ignore all ‘cuz science and do whatever the government tells us. If we don’t, “the resistance” will call us names, and, in some places, like Australia, they will completely restrict your right to do everyday things until you bend the knee.
Advocates of such measures are almost always of the misplaced opinion that if we let the government put on this boot that the objects of their current outrage will be the only ones we’ll ever find under it. Not true. The government never gives back power willingly whether you give it, or they take it. And one day, much to your surprise (certainly not mine), and despite all the warnings of history, you will find yourself under the boot instead of in it.
That has always been the plan, from where I sit and I’m not only disinclined to be a part of it, I intend to object at every opportunity, especially to the disarmament tyrants who, not coincidentally, are also the public health tyrants.
And if you didn’t see that coming well, you’re probably wearing a useless mask in your car and demanding kids wear them at school.
That’s not pro-science; it is scientism which is another form of despotism. Australia’s got it, and the Left wants it here, and they mean to have it, but we still have our guns which, if you missed it, are a public health threat destined to be regulated by the Feds in DC.
