The burning question regarding superintendent Kirk Beitler’s leave of absence (he is accused of domestic violence and assault) has been, is if he’s off duty without pay or on the taxpayer dime? We have an answer.
Gilford School District Superintendent Kirk Beitler is on PAID leave of absence.
After delivering TMEW and the Grandson to the Town Fields, I wheeled over to the SAU Office and went into Secretary’s office who, as always, asked me how I was doing.
I hesitated and she quickly got the idea of what I was about to say and started to cringe but I asked “do you REALLY want to know” and she shook her head “no.” I asked to talk to the “acting Superintendent” Amie Leigh (the Business Administrator) and Aimee came out and she ushered me into her office.
A pleasant conversation.
Summary: I told her that trying to get ANY information out of the School Board is rather difficult but that I was looking for the answer to my question that I posed first thing on Tuesday morning: “Is Beitler on leave or on PAID leave?
The Daily Sun is reporting PAID but there is nothing on the website about this news and neither Norm’s Right To Know nor my simple emailed question have been answered.
She first read the press release and then added “he’s on PAID leave.”
I also checked up on my email log list Right To Know- I reiterated that it was to be a list and not the emails themselves.
Apparently, Beitler both: 1) wanted the “search” to go on forever (past the 250K emails)ANF 2) thought I WANTED the emails (instead of a log file of them).
I’ll surmise that he figured the WHY I had asked for it in the first place.
He had told me that there was NO COMMUNICATION to or from the District with regards to asking questions about or implementing Policy JBAB. That is the Transgender and Non-Conforming Student Policy that coerces speech and terminates, however slightly or temporarily, Parental Rights (something that only a Judge can do).
He wanted me to give up and go away…silly person.
The existence of these emails proves that Beitler outright lied to me. The District had had NO communications with anyone over Polict JBAB.
I did not put her on the spot – I was quite pleasant with her and told her my frustration was with the Board for not answering rather simple questions. She nodded (a bit) in agreement and said she would be more communicative.
She is trying to address the older RTKs as well as the two newer ones (below) as well as Norm Silber’s.
Norm; she’s just trying to figure out where all the data is and trying to go from watching over just 3 departments to being responsible for ALL of the District’s departments.
However, she still only has until next Tuesday for the 5 full business days to reply.
*************
I sent in another right to know that has to do what “they” told the Laconia Daily Sun. That Gilford Superintendent Kirk Beitler is “on leave” until October (when the first hearing is to be held). That’s not the question people are asking – is it PAID or UNPAID Leave?

Subject: Questions and two more Right To Know demands
Good morning,
Questions: I am assuming that your Non-Public meeting is mostly about dealing with your employee.
Is Superintendent Kirk Beitler on Leave of Absence until his October hearing, a Paid Leave of Absence until then, or has he been relieved of his position?
Additionally, has all electronic access to the District’s digital assets been terminated until such time as he returns (if that is an option)?
RSA91:A demands:
Pursuant to the Right to Know Law (RSA. 91-A), I am demanding access, within 5 business days, a copy of the employment contract between the SAU 73 School District and Superintendent Kirk Beitler. An emailed copy (to Skip@GraniteGrok.com) would be preferred or I will pick up a hardcopy version at the District office. Per RSA 91-A:4 IV(c) If you deny any portion of this request, please cite the specific exemption used to justify the denial to make each record, or part thereof, available for inspection along with a brief explanation of how the exemption applies to the information withheld.

Kindest regards,

Pemex is the Mexican national oil company, Primex is the District’s insurance carrier for such indemnity issues. Apologies for the Oopsies!
Although this has gone in, I have not yet received a return message that it has been received. Nor have I received a return on my RTK concerning the GL Lines in their budget concerning transactions concerning Legal Issue NOR the other RTK I submitted Monday night on CRT / HB2 demand for materials (note to self, need to post that up here later on today).
