Did Maggie Hassan Consult? – Peterborough, NH Cyber-Scammed: Town Loses 2.3 Million Dollars.

Peterborough, New Hampshire is out 2.3 million dollars after hackers successfully used forged credentials to bilk the town not once but three separate times.

On July 26th town officials learned that ConVal School District had not received the $1.2m monthly transfer from the Town. Upon investigation we quickly realized that the town had been victim of an email-based fraud. … On August 18th, with the original investigation still ongoing, Finance Department staff learned that two bank transfers meant to go to Beck and Bellucci, the general contractor working on the Main Street Bridge project, had also been fraudulently diverted to thieves through similar means.

The funds were released by the town’s bank to the fraudsters who, according to several reports, converted it into cryptocurrency and made it disappear. The US Secret Service is investigating, and several town employees are on leave, though none, according to reports, is a person of interest.

Where Did it Go?

The money went overseas, so foreign interests are the likely target. I’d be inclined to check with the FBFI or CIA. There’s an ongoing war against crypto by the United States Government.

We know from the Russia Hoax investigating that the Intelligence apparatus can make intrusions appear as if they come from other countries.

Why not bilk some small town in NH out of a few million and convert it to crypto to make a statement.

Peterborough is embarrassed but has insurance, and being a liberal town, they’ll be raising taxes again soon anyway. There is no other taxation trajectory from the left.

I know, they probably just fumbled it up, and some actual hackers milked them. It’s more likely, but then I have to ask. Did Maggie Hassan, by any chance, do any talks or speeches with Peterborough on cybercrime?

She is, after all, the sitting US senator whose office suffered the signal biggest hack in US Senate history. Or, perhaps Hassan’s partisan political sister from another mister Hillary Clinton, dropped by with some email tips and tricks? Or perhaps Hunter Biden was available?
