Here’s an idea whose time has come. Private businesses charging employees for the privilege of working for them. Who thinks this is a bad idea in a political climate willing to pay people to stay home?
[Wade Symons, Forbes Magazine] … wrote in a column that some employers have held off on vaccine mandates “because of potential employee relations issues that such a move might provoke,” but he added that with the Delta COVID-19 variant and a stall in vaccinations, “health coverage surcharges for the unvaccinated are a tactic employers are reviewing as an alternative to a mandate.”
The justification for charging the unvaccinated is that by refusing The Jab™, the employee creates potentially higher health costs to the team’s insurance and the company.
I wonder how insurers feel about that? They have to be looking for the actual data to manage risk and not the publicity bulls**t fed to everyone by the pols, journos, and now these CEOs.

The Jab is randomly killing healthy people. We have no clue what the short, medium, and long-term side effects are on health, welfare, or productivity. Where does that fit in the actuarial tables? How do you plan for that? Is this the real motivation behind the monthly cash-grab?
Money on hand to offset losses created by vaccine mandates or costs associated with higher premiums. Lawyers for lawsuits, maybe?
And what do states like New Hampshire do, which have a worker shortage that is cramping productivity? We are trying to wean people off the Feds living wage starter program, and now businesses (no idea which, none have been named) are thinking about disincentivizing employment?
We’re hiring, but you have to give up your health freedom to work here. If you refuse, we’ll fine you every month until you do what we say?
What’s next?

It’s the same question I ask regarding the government’s other tentacles of overreach. If you give them this, what next will they try to take?
The answer is whatever they can until they no longer need to ask.
And then, whatever they want.
