Nobody Should Be Required to Wear a Mask to Fly

Check out this thread from Buck Sexton (click on the embedded tweet to see the thread). What barely little more than a year ago would have been unbelievable … and nearly nobody would have believed the American people would have tolerated … is now commonplace.

Airlines enforcing a “federal law” that is not actually a law, but rather is a ukase from the TSA:

It is important to understand that this TSA mandate … again, it is NOT a law; it is a bureaucratic mandate … was in response to a request from the airlines for federal backing to enforce the airlines’ mask mandates:

Flight attendants, airlines, and others have been pushing for an extension.

The president of the largest flight attendants union said during a U.S. Senate subcommittee meeting earlier this month that airlines still need the backing of the federal government to enforce passenger compliance with their mask requirements.

Not only does the TSA have no business mandating masks, but there should also be a federal LAW that prohibits airlines, trains, buses, etcetera from mandating masks.

The predictable response of the corporatist-GOP and the libertarians to this proposal:  They are private businesses and they have a right to run their businesses any way they want …

Bull___t. A free market does not require the government to allow businesses that are essential to functioning in modern society to dehumanize, demean and terrorize their customers and employees.
