Rebuild NH: Publicly Announced Agreement Acceptable Regarding Emergency Powers Reforms

Call your state senator and ask them to keep the promises they’ve made; thank those representatives in the Freedom Caucus who stood firm to demand these changes.

A last-minute deal negotiated by N.H. House Majority Leader Jason Osborne between RebuildNH-supported representatives and the governor delivered commitments to fix the unconstitutional state of emergency statutes this fall leading into the beginning of the next session in January.

ReopenNH believes this deal is an acceptable solution to remedy the constitutional crisis we’ve lived in for the past 15 months. Details about the deal have been published in NH Journal, a Media publication of record for the state, and the governor has signed a letter indicating his support for the deal.

We appreciate the hard work that House Majority Leader Jason Osborne and others have put toward negotiating this deal as part of the budget agreement. We could not have accomplished this deal without your help, and we thank YOU for your work advancing this agreement as well.
