North Carolina Town Issues List of Crimes It’s Okay to Commit (What Could Go Wrong?)

DEFUND-POLICE

Crime in Liberal cities was bad before George Floyd Overdosed on Fentanyl in 2020. They’ve been dystopian hellholes since—all the result of Left-Wing policy and their commitment to revolution before all else.

Related:

Chaos, mayhem, crisis, crime. They love it. The defund movement plays into that. Not just actual budget cuts but the departure of scores of officers who know they can no longer do their job. Not only does the civilian leadership not have their back, but they’ve also got targets painted on them.

Any politician or activist might decide to make them a poster-child for their elevation in the Left’s popular culture.

The job was hard enough already, so they are quitting in droves.

This culture of indifference to law and order results in an obvious uptick in crime. A problem exacerbated by progressive policies. Officers are not just walking away. If these cities want to add police, no one wants to work for them. It’s all part of the federal policing plan I’ve ruminated about at length for years.

Asheville, North Carolina, is today’s poster child for how that looks.

Here’s the list without the Tweet.

  • Theft under $1,000 where there is no suspect information (this does not include stolen vehicles or guns)
  • Theft from a vehicle where there is no suspect information
  • Minimal damage and/or graffiti to property where there is no suspect information
  • Non-life-threatening harassing phone calls (does not include incidents that are related to domestic violence and/or stalking)
  • Fraud, scams, or identity theft
  • Simple assaults that are reported after they have occurred
  • Reports that do not require immediate police actions and/or enforcement (information only reports)
  • Funeral escorts
  • Lost/found property
  • Trespassing where the property owner does not want to press charges

84 Officers quit or left the Asheville police force.  What’s the math on the rise in the number of criminals? Exponential to start.

If you are criminally inclined or pre-disposed, you may engage in these behaviors at will with little expectation of prosecution, and we should expect this list to grow—a real selling point for the town. Live in Asheville, where you can beat people up, steal their stuff, harass them, and no one will do a damn thing about it.

Sorry, that last bit is incorrect. The people will do something about it. They will take matters into their own hands, which might be best in some cases, but those will be actions that I’d be willing to bet the police will want to investigate and prosecute.

So yeah, it’s probably a trap.

And yeah, this is one of many reasons people are fleeing urban areas run by Democrats. It’s not safe, you can’t defend yourself, and they are as likely to consider you non-essential on a whim as not. It’s no way to live, and American’s are responding by bleeding away from these places in droves.

Just remember how it got that way and vote accordingly in your new town or state. Otherwise, you’re the pandemic, and the virus is progressivism.
