The People’s Republic of Nashua’s Politburo (the city alderman – woman/person/thing) took the advice of the cities Ministry of Health and rescinded its long-running mask mandate at their Thursday night meeting.
The amended ordinance stated residents and visitors who have received the COVID-19 vaccine are no longer required to wear a face covering while indoors or outdoors “unless required by that business, organization, or worksite in Nashua requires a mask.” However, anyone who is unvaccinated is advised to continue to wear a mask — “for their own protection and that of others that are fully vaccinated or until appropriate health organization deems it safe to not wear a mask.”
You’ll have noticed the “have received a COVID vaccine language” and the ‘is advised” recommendation, but these are meaningless fluff added for COVID-Karens.

It is illegal to ask you for proof of vaccination. HIPPA laws protect you, but we can go one better. The New Hampshire State Constitution has a recently added privacy amendment.
[Art.] 2-b. [Right of Privacy.] An individual’s right to live free from governmental intrusion in private or personal information is natural, essential, and inherent.

Yes, given the current regime (Sununu) and his willing court jesters (judges who say the government can ignore the constitution ‘cuz Public Health), that amendment may not mean much.
And a private business can ask whatever it wants of customers understanding that this may encourage them to spend their money elsewhere.
And we should be fine with that.
If they don’t remove the mask mandates in their business, the invisible hand will remove it for them. They drop the mandate or go out of business on principle, and who could object to that?
It’s an employee market – if your service job boss is an asshat you can probably nd a better job tomorrow with better pay.
And if enough people like their mandate, then they’ll do just fine and that will keep the Maskholes out of our hair.
