We have this liberty thing where we could care less what adults do as long as it doesn’t affect other people. No, I do not support unrestricted drug use *because that affects other people. And when it comes to kids, adults playing head games that end in chemical or surgical alteration is child abuse.

In recent years the debate over transforming children has become a battleground where we felt like we’ve been losing ground, but some states are pushing back hard. The Alabama Senate just voted to make the chemical or surgical alteration of a child a felony.
Senators voted 23-4 to approve the measure, dubbed the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, sponsored by Republican Senator Shay Shelnutt. The bill now heads to the state House of Representatives, which has already approved a companion bill.
The two bills would make it a felony for medical professionals to treat transgender minors under the age of 19 with gender-affirming care. Violators could face up to 10 years in prison or a $15,000 fine.
The usual players like the ACLU are opposed, but then the ACLU stopped defending the constitution years ago. They can barely be counted on to defend the first amendment and have been reduced to little more than another left-wing advocacy group.
And for all you triggered folk, and you are out there, we’ve no objection to them paying for their own transition once they are adults. That’s their business, not ours. A decision left to them when they reach the legal age of majority. And that’s my opinion because we’ve seen the manipulative nature of the left. You sell this culture on kids (even kids who are not your own) and encourage them toward behaviors that are not in their best interests.
Even in the most encouraging and supportive environments, kids who are transitioned are 42% more likely to commit suicide than typical teens or young adults. Those numbers are higher now than ever.
Leave them alone. Some of these drugs can kill them. Let them grow up, and then they can decide for themselves carrying all the baggage you heaped on them along the way.
