In the wake of Cuomo accusers four and five, we should stop and take a moment to consider what really matters. It’s Pepe Le Pew’s fault. Yes, the French Looney Toons skunk and his unstoppable passion for the ladies promote rape culture.

Ian Miles Cheong, writing at the Post Millenial, shares more from Blow.
“This helped teach boys that ‘no’ didn’t really mean no, that it was a part of the game,’ the starting line of a power struggle,” wrote Blow on Twitter. “It taught overcoming a woman’s strenuous, even physical objections, was normal, adorable, funny. They didn’t even give the woman the ability to SPEAK.”
It did no such thing.
And I’m not mad, by the way. I think Blow’s analysis is hilarious, if not ridiculous. It’s not much more useful than violent videogames narratives. But given the serious nature of cancel culture, ‘RW Blogs’ have reason to be concerned. The Left has been using pressure politics to erase people of color from the cultural consciousness, Amazon is “burning digital books,” and Hasbro just neutered a plastic potato.
Trending is the word, if I am not mistaken.
I’d be curious to hear Charles’ thoughts on Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo or Anthony Weiner (Carlos Danger) or Jeffrey Epstein (who didn’t hang himself) or Bill Clinton or Al Franken or Eric Schneiderman or Joe Biden or the rest of them. I suppose they are products of “The Le Pew effect”?
Why are they all Democrats, and why doesn’t the left immediately cancel rape-culture icons in their own party (with extreme prejudice) instead of making excuses for them until some point of critical mass is achieved; where the media can no longer hide the truth, and the Left’s serial disregard becomes a political liability?
But if Rape Culture is truly the concern for the Left (it’s not), the evidence suggests that we ought to be canceling the Democrat party, not an animated skunk who was less representative of male-dominated sexual aggression and more likely, as Cheong notes, “to make fun of sexually predatory French men, who smell bad, who pursue American women who want (presumably) nothing to do with them.”
And how many of them are running right-wing American blogs?
Not too many.
And when can we expect Charles and his cadre to start objecting to pornography, sexually explicit music lyrics, promiscuity, and hook-up culture, illegal aliens who rape and kill women, male-dominant gang culture, the Left’s advocacy of human and sexual trafficking (across an open southern border), gender politics that give male-predators unfettered access to women’s safe spaces, and even abortion – which makes unwanted pregnancy and the unsolicited sex (statutory rape and incest) that created it go away?
These are all things the Left fights for in the name of free speech and women’s sexual freedom.
It is no surprise to this author or likely most of our readers that reality is the opposite of the vision in the progressive policy mind’s eye. Or that they are incapable of explaining any countenance with their vigorous support of things that might actually ‘add’ to rape culture.
If you blame the cartoon skunk, there’s no need to embrace the uncomfortable challenges of retooling your destructive worldview.
