Data Point – Who Worries about What across the Red/Blue Divide?

by Skip

It is clear that there are differences between the Red (Republican/Conservative) and Blue (Democrat/Socialists/SJW Disciples) sides on just about everything. One look at the above chart and I think every issue on it should be there.

Just, to quibble, I’d adjust some of the ordering and in the case of “Socialism,” I’d rename it something like “Those trying to force Socialism on the rest of us” and put it as THE very first item.

Yeah, I’d add another “The Failure by Socialists/SJWs to just Leave The Rest of Us Alone”.

I’ll stop there or I’d never stop at all but those would be #1 and #2. Or should it be #1 AND #1? I like being an American and I love this country, warts and all.

But it is clear when you look at this chart, Democrats are FAR different people:

Dem Concerns

So why ARE Trump Supporters their top concern?  Is it the “normal” one of “These knuckledraggers are keeping us from Utopia that should replace this race-ridden, evil country”? Unfounded fears that there’s a Trump supporter with a Gatling gun on the backside of every tree?

Sidenote: and if there really is, shouldn’t they be asking WHY? Are they on offense (er, no) or defense (ayup)?

And look at #2 and #3 – and realize they are a function of #1 in their addled minds.  Ditto #6 (and we can thank, in no small part, the #4 item in the GOP concern list for this).

The problem is the complete disconnect between the two camps. There is no commonality at all – not one single issue. How does a nation survive when half the country can’t even agree on the issues with the other?

I don’t know what the answer to that is but I do know that every day, the Culture War by the Left is splitting the country more and more than what I ever thought possible.

Oh, wait, I have to admit – I’m wrong. Absolutely wrong. I forgot the REAL issue that neither camp brought up and really is the most telling one at all:

Adherence to the US (and here in the Live Free or Die State, the NH Constitution)

You see, if the Feds really respected the fence around them that the Constitution stakes into the political ground, much of this would go away. Ditto most States’ Constitutions. And make no mistake, both Parties refuse to see that fencing at times (yes, the Democrats FAR more than Repubs but make no mistake, the Rs are no slouches at it as well).
