Way back when, even though we had backed Ovide Lamontagne in the US Senate Primary, Kelly Ayotte was the winner and then went on to win the US Senate race over Democrat Paul Hodes in the General election. We even thanked her for her efforts after her first year in office – and that was pretty much the last time THAT happened. Why?

US Senator Kelly Ann Ayotte turned into Sidecar Kelly (see above) by being John “You will KEEP Obamacare because of me!” McCain’s sidekick as they careened down Moderate Bearing On Democrat Lane and consorting with the likes of Jeanne Shaheen (in messing up the private marketplace; there’s a reason why your appliances don’t work as well as your parents’) when they stopped at Maverick Gas to tank up the bike.
Never again will we make that mistake. Even more so given what a Loyal Reader sent in:
Kelley Ayotte, swamp rat! This was from her site [at BAE Inc., the huge defense contractor -Skip], where she is a board member. Remember they now pay board members HUGE sums. You should show her as the establishment parasite that she is and how they do it. And ‘parasite’ is a considered adjective. This tells one everything…
Our reader actually used a different word than parasite – given how delicate the GOPe folks can get and considering their average age, I figured I’d save them from a stroke or aneurysm blowout.
Sidecar Kelly is on the BAE Board of directors and they have a page just for her here. I’ve included the entire thing here but what our Loyal Reader wanted to point out the most was last paragraph (which I have reformatted):
Kelly A. Ayotte
Former United States Senator
The Honorable Kelly A. Ayotte is a member of the Board of Directors of BAE Systems, Inc., the U.S.-based subsidiary of BAE Systems plc.
Ayotte was first appointed to the Inc. Board in June 2017. In this role, she brings a distinctive blend of skills and experience from her tenure in public service as an elected U.S. Senator, three appointments as New Hampshire’s Attorney General, as well as her highly regarded expertise in national security and advocacy for military readiness and our service men and women.
As a U.S. Senator from 2011 to 2017, Ayotte worked across party lines to sponsor independent and collaborative legislation to address some of our nation’s most challenging domestic and foreign policy issues. Ayotte chaired the Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness and the Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation Operations, Safety and Security. In these leadership positions, she supported budget certainty, opposed defense sequestration, led efforts to strengthen our defense industrial base across the nation’s public shipyards, and oversaw the Federal Aviation Administration and domestic aviation infrastructure and security. Ayotte also served on a number of other committees, to include the Senate Armed Services, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Budget, Transportation, and Commerce Committees, where she worked to advance policies that encouraged private-sector innovation and job creation, particularly in high-tech manufacturing and STEM-related sectors.
From 2004 to 2009, Ayotte was appointed by both a Republican and Democratic governor to serve as New Hampshire’s Attorney General, the first and only woman to serve in this role. As New Hampshire’s chief legal and law enforcement officer regarding civil and criminal matters, she argued before the United States Supreme Court, as well as the New Hampshire Supreme Court in multiple cases. Prior to her appointments, she was the deputy attorney general and chief of the Homicide Prosecution Unit, and she previously served as legal counsel to Governor Benson after beginning her career as a law clerk to the New Hampshire Supreme Court and as an associate in the litigation department of McLane Middleton.
Ayotte currently serves on the Board of Directors for
- News Corp,
- Caterpillar,
- Boston Properties,
- Blackstone Group and
- Blackstone Blink Health
and the Advisory Boards of
- Microsoft,
- Chubb Insurance,
- Cirtonics,
- Foundation for Defense of Democracies – Center on Military and Political Power,
- United Against Nuclear Iran,
- Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions,
and is a member of several Think Tanks, including
- Aspen Economic Group,
- United States Institute of Peace – The Taskforce on Extremism in Fragile States, Center on Military and Political Power
- co-chair for CSIS Health Security Commission.
She is also a board member of not-for-profit organizations, to include
- the McCain Institute (go figure!),
- the International Republican Institute,
- Veterans Count New Hampshire,
- One Campaign,
- Winning for Women,
- Swim with a Mission.
A native of Nashua, New Hampshire, Ayotte graduated with honors from Pennsylvania State University and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law.
Our Loyal Reader’s comment:
Guess who little Kelley was out for all along. Live well swamp bottom feeder. She worked the entire system to perfection.
I will point out that while she had made a decent living for herself before making it to the US Senate, this is getting rich from politics the old fashioned way – those are some pretty big companies that have her on their boards and some can pay from $75,000 to $250,000/year for a few days of work. Let’s call it for what it is – she’s a money tree for those companies and provides entry to a lot of existing or potential customers. We’re looking into who pays what; I’m betting a couple of them are “for show”; regardless, she’s not pinching any pennies like the rest of us.
And I’ll point out that the non-profit “One Campaign” is FAR from being “conservative.”
And I’ll also point out that she was as bad on ferreting out any kind of voter fraud as the current crop of cretins in her former NH AG’s office now trying to save face and reputations concerning the “Windham Incident” concerning the Dominion owned Accu-vote machines.
Oh, and trying to throw up anything into the air that would try and keep NH from losing the First in the Nation Primary due to the perception that voting is not on the fair and square. Boys and girls, you’d best be doing the right things ensconced in that NH DOJ building – with transparency FIRST (not something that Kelly Ayotte was known for during her time there).
Oh, and have you heard that she may have yearnings to replace Baby Huey in the corner office when he tries to dislodge Maggie the Red from her US Senate sinecure?
What would the “cash out” from that, one wonders…
