I keep harping on what happened a decade or so ago but things have a habit of recurring because memories grow short – or the other side’s cynicism of “we got away with it before, we can do it again!” keeps growing. And yes, TEA Party, again.
I’ve mentioned that I still watch Tucker but I admit that I DVR it – but I don’t always watch every show. Having seen this, I AM going to watch last nite’s show in its entirety:
Last night on Tucker Carlson’s show, he looked at the demonstration that took place in the US Capitol (no, it was not an insurrection) and the actions of the Democrats. He wondered why they were labeling the people who marched on the Capitol as “domestic terrorists” (because you have to be a terrorist to want to make sure the Constitution is followed, right?) and “seditionists” and “insurrectionists”–and by extension, some tens of millions who supported them as “terrorist enablers?” More importantly, he wondered why they could do this without anyone from the Republican party pushing back. The answer he arrived at is only surprising because someone of Carlson’s background had the perception to see it. The video is cued up.

Because if they cared, they’d be doing the two, three, four moves out routine and see how their agenda items would impact regular folks. The problem for them now is that folks took Trump at his word that he would put them FIRST, that the “Forgotten Man” wouldn’t be forgotten by him if he gained the Oval Office. And unlike most politicians, he delivered. No, you may not have liked his character, nor his style, or his speech – but he kept his promises and did what he said he was going to do.
I see what is happening now as the TEA Party all over again which disrupted politics as usual both in DC and Concord. And the Establishment took the votes and then pushed back. And yes, they joined with Democrats to spread lies and belittle us. I know, I was there as GraniteGrok (along with Doug).
They weren’t content with the level of disruption now – they got what they reaped. You tried to ignore us then (thanks, Papa Smurf), and this time, the disruption was bigger, more consequential, and more raucous than before.
The TEA Party never really went away. I don’t think the Trump movement will either EVEN AS commlinks are being cut. The signals will get out.
I don’t know what will be next but I’m pretty sure THEY (both sides of the aisle) aren’t going to like that one even more. It will be your own damn fault (OK, that’s swearing TWICE in one day!!!). This is what happens when half of your country’s citizens think, no, KNOW they are being oppressed AND suppressed.
This past Wednesday was a tipping point, and as usual, the Left is already overplaying their hand and their reach. We on the other side have already baked that into the cake.
Do they really know what they are provoking? Or making people ready for?
No, I don’t.
