Have you seen the Bernie meme with the mittens? He’s turning up everywhere, and people have been asking where they can buy the mittens. But you can’t get them. The woman who made them had to close up her business. Why? Federal taxes.
She says independent crafters “get taxed to the nth degree, and it wasn’t really worth it pursuing that as a business, even as a side hustle.”
She still supports Bernie, by the way. That means she supports the taxes that made her “side hustle” unworkable, as well as all the new burdens that will put other people out of business.
And they say Democrats are smarter? Sorry, I do not see it.
You’ll also not be surprised to hear that Bernie didn’t pay for them. They were a gift.
Also not surprising: Comrade Sanders put the pic on a sweatshirt, charged his supporters $45.00 apiece for them, and they sold out.
Making money off of the people he puts out of business.
There’s a bumper sticker there somewhere, not that it matters.
