Last Wednesday, I was asked if GraniteGrok would observe the voting within the Belknap County Republican Committee (BCRC). Because, according to the two separate folks who didn’t know the other had done so, they thought the voting would be “interesting.”

They wanted a neutral observer. So, I set up my cameras to observe their Zoom session hosted by the new NH GOP Executive Director, Joe Sweeney.
Sidenote: who (Sweeny), in my humble opinion, did as credible a job under what I consider to be a raucous (and totally amusing in a twisted sort of way) meeting.
I’m sitting thinking that if Alan Glassman, now a former Belknap County Republican Committee Chairman (by 17-3 vote of those eligible to vote) had decided to not say this, y’all wouldn’t be reading this post (or watching the video).
“…And those people who are voting for you should be wondering what they have gotten into in working with you because there is something wrong with you.”
Even though I was not involved in the voting for the officers (not being a State Committee member right now though I have been in the past), everyone took note of that uncalled for last slap by Glassman towards those that simply decided, for whatever reason, to support his opponent.
Casting shade at your direct opponent comes with the process but the way he did it, IMHO, went over the line.
Listen to the rhetoric at the end of the video aimed at Norm’s supporters. Do you know what it instantly had me thinking? The rhetoric coming out of DC from the Congressional Dems concerning the Congressional Republicans.
Not the same words, mind you, nor calling for them to be cast out of the BCRC, but the same ‘tude of “YOU all are in the wrong for supporting Trump Silber and must be held accountable. I had told myself that if Norm had won, I might just start going to the meetings again – so Alan put me into that same pot. Folks know that if you want my temperature to go up, that’s one way of doing so – declaring me guilty of something when I’ve done nothing at all.
And, as the head honcho of GraniteGrok, I protect my Groksters when they get attacked (you know, that “leave no one behind” bit) and I don’t care from whom. And some have, in the past, so we drove the names of their attackers to the first page of Google for all to see. They asked us to relent.
And Norm is a Grokster, so not a smooth move picking on the wrong person.
Graciousness vs vitriol that night. You pulled the trigger on the wrong guy. So I’m posting it so that all can see your own words – I don’t even have to say much.
So, how’s that run at being the NH GOP Treasurer going to go, Mr. Glassman?
Readers, you watch it and let me know. I DO know that I haven’t witnessed anything like this in a long time.
So what will the NH GOP Executive Board reaction be? Will this be considered as bad as Grafton and Sullivan Counties (which have problems of their own)?
