Compassion – it’s more than just spending other peoples’ money to be seen to be “doing something” and expect to be praised for it. Sometimes, true compassion is honestly saying what is not politically correct – and then working that honesty. Some need that temporary hand up – and yes, there are some that want no help at all. Accountability has to be part of it – leave the “victimology” nonsense out of it.
