Renny Cushing: Anti-Maskers Have No Right to Infect. Skip: Progressives Have No Right to Trash the Bill of Rights

And the Left wonders and complains that masks should never have been politicized – Democrat NH House Minority Leader Renny Cushing goes ahead and does so.

WMUR had yet another political hit piece in furthering that politicization of mask / no mask debate. And if you watched it (and you would have had to watch it because they’re too lazy to keep at least a day’s worth of their broadcasts on their website. Now, they DO have the announcement that Speaker Pro Tem Kimberly Rice now has WuFlu. Just wonderful that they cut their STORED package short and didn’t show the last part where NH Senate President Chuck Morse and Cushing made their remarks – I wonder why (NOT!) ?

Here’s what Cushing said (emphasis mine):

People have a misguided belief that they have a Right to infect. We cannot have a Right to infect. We have a responsibility to protect the health and safety, not just to ourselves, but everybody.

Well now, he (and Bruce Currie, both Bernie-Bros but other Democrats as well) are using that phrase as a political epithet. A politicization even if they are trying to frame it as otherwise. Sorry, choice of words and tone of voice tell the rest of us otherwise. They just hate it that the rest of us disappoint them, we who they view as recalcitrant children that MUST be told what to do and why aren’t we obeying them.

So, he believes in that nonsense phrase “Right to infect“. Right up there with “Hate Speech” and “Assault Weapons” and other framings of the Political Correctness sort whose only intent is to Silence us, stop any debate with the end result they show themselves to be bullies who only want what they want. Because they themselves continue to “infect” our REAL Rights in the Bill of Rights in the US and NH Constitution. They seek to “make sick” the First Amendment Rights:

  • the continuation of the “no speech” zones at Planned Parenthood abortion clinics as well as others (no free speech for you!)
  • Hate Speech (which is to say any speech in direct opposition to their agendas – gay marriage, abortion, gender dysphoria, guns (no free speech for you!)
  • HB1159, the bill to Shut The Grok Down as well as other outlets (the removal of the Right to a Free Press – how nice to control information flows)
  • Continual infringements on our Article 2-a / Second Amendment Right to bear and keep arms. In fact, the end goal is complete Civilian Disarmament by Any Means Possible (WE will protect you when we’re minutes away and danger is only seconds – and like in Seattle and Portland, 911 takes your call with “Please hold – no one is here to talk with you).
  • And Democrats are hellbent to erase the Right to Free Express – the Right to worship in which Govt was to NEVER tread. Go talk to CA Gov Newsom, NY Gov Cuomo, and NYC Mayor de Blasio for three quick examples)

And those are just 5 quick reasons – there are more. And they keep on making up NEW Rights no one that only exist in their fevered political sphere. And we’re supposed to be silent and accept them. And here’s Renny Cushing with yet another faux Right – which has been claimed by NO Conservative EVAH!

Screw that. Stop insulting us. Stop pushing “Safetyism” over Constitutionalism.

So tell you what – WHEN you and your fellow Democrats start living and LOVING the actual and original precepts of the Constitutions, without any dilution of their original meanings and discard your ill conceived ideas that they were meant only for a long ago dusty past, THEN maybe we can start talking about your false claim that we believe we have “Right to Infect”. A phrase that is EXACTLY the politicization you say shouldn’t exist.

If your goal was to make us angry, yes, you succeeded and not what I believe your actual intent was – to shame us into submission. Sorry, I (and many others) have already been called every name in the book (and some so foul they aren’t in the book) that it’s just political noise. Insulting us more only makes us dig our heels in deeper. Your fault, not ours.

You can’t make me, or others, care anymore BECAUSE of Democrat past actions. You refuse to leave us alone – and we’re tired of your efforts to change us (or as the Socialist line is – to evolve us).

Without your side’s complete acceptance of the idea to no longer move Government into a larger and more intrusive position, no longer talking about “infractions of your nebulous “Social Contract” that always seems to support liberals but never conservatives (and no one can show me where I have signed a piece of paper that has Social Contract on it), and do nothing to further lessen our individual Freedoms and Liberties, I have no willingness to talk.

Your actions (as actions speak louder than words) first, then we’ll talk. If Constitutional values cannot be a common place of acceptance according to the actual words therein, there is no place for discussion.

And as for that last part (“We have a responsibility to protect the health and safety, not just to ourselves, but everybody.”)? See, that is just a framing for us to accept the Collectivization socialist mantra (like it or not, meant or not). Most of us on this side, when we hear “the Common Good”, we just wretch. Again, the more you push that we should subsume ourselves into YOUR notions that the Village takes precedence over the Founders vision of extolling the Individual with voluntary associations, we push back and rebel. The last few years of the word “Community” being emphasized over all is anathema to the rest of us.

Ants do that. Bees do that. Herds do that. A Free People don’t. Collectivism is where Individual Rights go to die.

Last words – stop insulting us – it doesn’t work.
