Two Abortion Extremist NH State Senators Defeated

In February, Kevin Landrigan announced in his “State House Dome” column that four state senators had been endorsed by EMILY’s List, a PAC that funds campaigns for abortion extremist women candidates.

The candidates endorsed by EMILY’s List were Democrats Donna Soucy, Cindy Rosenwald, Melanie Levesque, and Shannon Chandley.

Fortunately for the babies, two of those senators lost their seats in Tuesday’s election. Melanie Levesque and Shannon Chandley were defeated by pro-life Republicans Kevin Avard and Gary Daniels.

Melanie Levesque and Shannon Chandley are extremists on abortion. They are so extreme, that they both voted to table, SB 741, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which would have ensured appropriate medical care for a baby born alive after a failed abortion.

On the other hand, Kevin Avard and Gary Daniels have committed to vote to protect life and they were both endorsed by the NH Right to Life PAC, which sets a high bar for endorsed candidates.

Several other pro-life NH state senators were also elected and Republicans now hold 14 senate seats to only 10 seats for the Democrats.

With the Republicans also controlling the NH House, I’m looking forward to pro-life legislation getting passed and signed by Governor Chris Sununu, including a Born Alive Infant Protection Act, a post-viability abortion ban, and a repeal of the Buffer Zone law.
