More Sheriff’s Tell Governor – We’re Not Enforcing Your Holiday Restrictions (Will Karens Care?)

Crazy Andy Cuomo was already predisposed toward tyranny. He’s a Democrat. But one of his latest dictatorial edicts has gotten under the skin of county Sheriffs in the state. The 10-person limit on holiday gatherings is getting the cold shoulder from local law enforcement.

Reformatted from the original.

In a scathing Facebook post on Saturday, Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino questioned the legality of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s newly instituted 10-person cap on parties and other gatherings in private residences. – “Frankly, I am not sure it could sustain a Constitutional challenge in Court for several reasons including your house is your castle,” the sheriff wrote in the Saturday post.

“And as a Sheriff with a law degree I couldn’t in good faith attempt to defend it Court, so I won’t,” he said. … Washington County Sheriff Jeff Murphy said there will be no Thanksgiving enforcement, and on Monday, Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo also threw cold water on the state order.

These Governors have gone mad with power and not just the Democrats. Republicans, and then there are your neighbors. You know, the Karens. WHat’s to stop them from calling the local PD?

The non-enforcement guidance for country Sheriffs is nice, but state and local police need to pony up and just say no because the COVID-Karens are out there.

Picture it. They are home, alone, or with few if any family members. Each separated by 15 feet, wipes and disinfectant spray at hand, and wearing masks. Their Swanson microwave turkey dinners cooling rapidly on repurposed (but recently washed) kitchen-towel placemats.

Drawn by an unfamiliar sound, one of them dares to risk the Rona getting them through the tempered glass and pulls the curtain aside with a gloved hand. What to their wondering eyes should appear (you can only, after all, see their eyes) but a driveway full of cars and the distinct sound of holiday cheer.

How Dare they!

The next thing you know: Karen Sprang from the window, incensed by the clatter, and ran to the phone to report this disaster.

911, what’s your emergency: sputter, phlegm, outrage. Super spreaders!

You know you have one of those, maybe more—neighbors who just can’t leave things alone.

The poor 911 operators will be fielding calls all day from these lunatics. Getting an early start on the grinch-ing, I guess.

So, yes, thank you, County Sheriffs, those of you stepping up. We appreciate your good intentions and, frankly, common sense. But until all the PD’s agree these orders are outside the law, the real plague will continue to be people not content to be terrified and controlling about their own lives. They must project that upon others and, whenever possible, invoke government force.

Like, I said, Democrats.
