Court Says Restaurant Fined $10K for Re-Opening in May – Doesn’t Have to Pay

We’ve shared a handful of stories about small business owners, restaurants (mostly), that defined their state or local lockdown orders. In Palmyra, Pennsylvania, that business was Taste of Sicily. They opened their doors in May to full capacity and got fined $10,000.00. Their response? We ain’t paying crap!

Related: “Some rob you with a gun, while others rob you with a pen – We ain’t paying crap.”

They stayed open and in business, never enforcing distancing, mask, or other mandates. Always claiming they had a right to be in business, that employees had a right to work, while refusing to pay the fines or cave to COVID Karens.

This, naturally, rankled the panic-porn Left and their pandemic fearmongers, most of all PA Gov. Tom Wolfe of the royal decrees.  How dare you! To borrow from Muppet Greta.

They dared, went to court, and won!

[T]he Department of Agriculture couldn’t lawfully cite them for opening early and that citations must be prosecuted by the attorney general or local district attorney.

Judge Carl Garvey ruled the family business was unconstitutionally cited and the restaurant was found not guilty, …, adding that [restaurant attorney Eric]Winter noted Taste of Sicily’s owners won’t have to pay any fines, and they’re waiting for a hearing date against the Department of Agriculture.

Spastic pandemic pansy Tom Wolf (D – AHHHHH!) says he plans to appeal, and of course he does. He can’t have the peasants doing whatever they please. The next thing you know, there will be a massive breakout of individual rights and liberty, followed by full employment and prosperity.

He must stop this at all costs in case it helps Trump get re-elected.
