A small army of angry residents marched in protest after a school teacher and coach were handcuffed for singing hymns in a crowd of almost 200 while neither masking nor social distancing. I’m kidding. No one did diddly. The two were cuffed, perp-walked, and arrested with nary a peep.

In fairness to the non-peepers, the event was, itself, a peaceful protest of the masking and distancing ordinance, but other than continuing to sing, there appear to have been little objection to enforcement measures.
“Well, it happened,” one observer wrote on Twitter. “The Moscow (Idaho) Police Department arrested my kids’ music teacher and his wife, the basketball coach, for singing without social distancing at a Psalm Sing protest. The music is beautiful.” …
“Why are the citizens not putting a stop to this? They work for the public hold them accountable. Up to and including armed resistance,” one observer asked on social media.
The Public Health tyranny continues without much objection except by those being persecuted for refusing to follow what are, by some accounts, unconstitutional mandates. And the five people cited were not in the minority. According to this report, most of those who attended the Christ Church “protest” neither wore masks or social distanced. The two arrests “were arrested for suspicion of resisting or obstructing an officer.”
Suspicion of resisting or obstructing?
One of the two is a Republican candidate for Latah County commissioner, known by the officer who arrested him but detained for refusing to provide identification when requested.
The police were reportedly polite but indicated that they were there to enforce the ordinance, which had just been extended to the beginning of 2021.
I have no clue why only five were cited if significantly more were present in violation. And while I get that the arrests are for refusing to cooperate, the ask regards creeping tyranny.
Not faulting the cops or the attendees except to say that if more people do not peacefully oppose public health tyranny we’ll never get out from under it. Politicians will freely invoke these powers for purely political reasons at their pleasure (not that this is not currently the case), and we, the people, will have to roll over. Any real resistance growing among fewer and fainter voices.
If liberty means anything, push back, not with violence or looting like the unhinged Leftists, but at the ballot box. Failing that, vote with your face and then your feet. Do something.
