We polled the five-person race for New Hampshire’s First Congressional District. The choices are  Matt Mayberry, Matt Mowers, Michael Callis, Jeff Denaro, and Kevin Rondeau. Who did our readers pick?

ICYMI:  Get Used to This: Recount Ordered After “Thousands of Uncounted Ballots Found”

Much like the first 2020 NHCD-1 poll, Matt Mowers ran away with the win collecting 74.3% of the votes. Jeff Denaro came in second with 12.69%, Matt Mayberry was third 12.08%, Michael Callis got 3 votes, and Kevin Rondeau got none.

As with all these polls, none of which are scientific but all of which are still telling, the results are a product of enthusiasm. Campaigns that want to do well get the word out and find a way to get supporters to vote.

An energetic base can move a lot more people to the ballot box on primary day.

We do not have to wait long to find out if that is truly the case.
