The Precepts of the Woke: Racism Redefined… Part II of II

Woke

The precepts of the woke are three which the anti-racists have attached themselves. Racism is not just an individual act of discrimination or prejudice. Instead, racism is redefined as a collective condition leading to inequities in society.

This is an argument, but it is not a fact, and should not be accepted. If we accept a false premise we accept the false argument. This is a Marxist argument of haves and have-nots. It is a tactic of division.

The woke argue actual racists are far less dangerous than the real threat, “acceptance of color blindness.” This is Malcolm X versus Martin Luther King. The woke accept and promote racism. Here’s how it goes.

The most threatening racist movement is not the alt right’s unlikely drive for a White ethnostate but the regular American’s drive for a ‘race-neutral’ one. The construct of race neutrality – the theory goes – actually feeds White nationalist victimhood by positing the notion that any policy protecting or advancing non-white Americans toward equity is ‘reverse discrimination.’

Those who assimilate are bad those who segregate are good?

“Assimilationists” are labeled as worse than “segregationists.” That’s the argument.

Assimilation is the process by which group differences are reduced within a society. It uses tolerance of differences to form a larger, stronger common culture. It is a process. No one is required to give up anything except hatred. Assimilation requires getting rid of hatred.

The woke oppose assimilation. They attribute behavior to the unequal outcomes for different races. This denies people are individuals. People have different abilities, interests, and goals. It assumes equality of outcome is a reasonable measure to use. It is a premise that is false on its face.

To the woke, even asking why different groups of people have statistically differing outcomes is racist. Off with his head.

The woke construction of racism says, “…if we truly believe that all humans are equal, then disparity in condition can only be the result of systemic discrimination.”

No one is stupid enough to believe all humans are equal. All people are different. All people have strengths and weaknesses. None are the same. What must be equal is the opportunity all people have. The rights of all individuals under the law must be equal. What must be equal is the protections afforded for speech, religion, assembly, the press. It is why we have a Bill of Rights.

All disparities are racist… well no

The woke argument is any racial discrepancies are examples of racism. That, again, is a false premise. The woke believe if a society has a disproportionate number of rich white people compared to rich black people, that is racism. That, on its face, is another false premise.

Maybe there is an argument based on proportionality… maybe. But that is not the assertion. What is not stated is the percentage of blacks is about 13% while whites are about 72%. Proportionality says there should be an expectation of many more rich whites.

If one race has a higher mortality rate from a disease than another, again the culprit is racism. It has nothing to do with genetics. If one uses highly selective in the statistics one can demonstrate “there may be no more consequential White privilege than life itself.”

By selectively citing data showing blacks suffering more than whites it is possible to turn what should be a unifying, race-neutral battle ground, humanity’s fight against deadly diseases, into a proxy battle in the War on Racism.
