That’s no Excuse, and the Racialized Marxists are Here to Fix It

Would it surprise to know that the vegan world is rife with systemic racism? It might surprise you more to discover you cared, but you should for reasons I’ll explain. It’s all connected.

According to one woman, the Vegan-influencer realm is dominated by rich white women appropriating dishes with foreign-sounding names, and it’s not fair.

When Afia Amoako became a vegan five years ago, she said she didn’t see herself reflected in the community, which was dominated by wealthy white women.

They often touted recipes—” African peanut stew” or “Asian stir fry”—that rely on racial stereotypes, said Amoako.

“One, they don’t look like you, and, two, they are appropriating your food. Those are ways to turn racialized people away.”

Reflected in the community

In New Hampshire, some folks started a commission to address ways to get more people of color to move to New Hampshire as if the very idea is not itself racist. That there are things we can do or say to attract people of color.

One of the points they made for why this needs to be addressed was that children of color did not see themselves “reflected in the community.” That’s one of those buzz words (or terms) you won’t find in majority-black or Islamic nations. No one is working to make sure whites or Christians are reflected in those communities. In the latter case, they are scrubbing Christians out of existence in some black Muslim countries.

No one is scrubbing anyone out of existence here. Sorry, that’s not accurate. Leftists are trying to scrub any challenge to their ideas from the public space. One recent example being Democrat Squad member Ayanna Pressly who believes that we need more unrest targeted at Republicans. No one on the Republican right suggests any such thing, nor do they condone or associate with any so-called Far-Right white is right idealists; actual supremacists who are more like the Leftists than they dare to admit.

Racialized People?

What the heck does this mean? Well, when you don’t know the meaning of something new and exciting like “racialization,” you look it up. I did.

In sociology, racialization or ethnicization is the process of ascribing ethnic or racial identities to a relationship, social practice, or group that did not identify itself as such. Racialization or ethnicization often arises out of the interaction of a group with a group that it dominates and ascribes a racial identity for the purpose of continued domination.

Is it just me, or did Afia Amoako racialize herself, food, and rich white vegans and then claim that they were doing that to her? I’m going with yes, but that’s not even the biggest issue here.

As Jazz notes at Hot Air,

As to why the most popular social media influencer accounts belong to White women, what exactly do you want them to do? Apologize for being successful? Nobody has a gun to their head and being forced to click the subscribe button. If you want to complain to someone, you should take it up with all of the subscribers. Why aren’t more of them following accounts like Amoako’s?

The point is that someone should have a gun to their heads.

Skip noted (I believe it was yesterday) that the problem for the Left is a system that allows individuals – in this case, subscribers – to decide who gets to be successful or not (by freely choosing products, services, or vegan influencers). If they choose something other than that ascribed to the currently approved narrative, it is systemically racist. It is the very nature of the whiteness problem, which, as noted above, does not translate to a blackness problem or a Muslim problem in other countries.

Put simply, the cure for everything is socialism. A state-mandated quota system. Affirmative action across all sectors of our existence enforced by political gatekeepers who are also gate-crashers. Tearing down a nation built upon a majority white Christain culture (a Constitutional Republic) where people of color would one day be freer and have more opportunities to escape poverty than any other country on earth.

That’s no excuse, and the racialized Marxists are here to fix it.

As amusing and racist and discriminatory as that sounds, what is truly surprising is this. That the people who talk, and act, and demand a world without individual rights and liberties (where the government picks winners and losers in the name of equity or equality) think they will be better served when nothing could be further from the truth.

If you have any doubt, look at urban inner-city “equality.” Democrat Socialists have been practicing their tradecraft for decades. The result is the promise delivered—generational subsistence living under the jackboot of petty tyrants whose “solutions” to stated problems are to make things worse.
