We’ve been warning people for years. The campus culture is a microcosm for the Democrat Party’s plan for America. One liberal professor just isolated that “plan’ in her syllabus. “[A]ny student arguing against gay marriage, abortion or the Black Lives Matter movement would immediately be dismissed.”

These zero-tolerance policies are at the core of the far-left experience. You are not permitted to have an opinion with which they disagree. If you do have one, there can be no public expression of it. This campus “inclusiveness” is their template for the nation.
Iowa State University (ISU) Professor Chloe Clark’s Syllabus reads,
“GIANT WARNING: any instances of othering that you participate in intentionally (racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, sorophobia, transphobia, classism, mocking of mental health issues, body shaming, etc.) in class are grounds for dismissal from the classroom,”
“The same goes for any papers/projects: you cannot choose any topic that takes at its base that one side doesn’t deserve the same basic human rights as you do (ie: no arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc). I take this seriously.”
There will be no intellectual debate of any kind is allowed outside the confines of her worldview with the BLM warning being of particular interest. They are an anti-family, Marxist political endeavor. So, a student at an American university can’t be opposed to Militant Marxism that encourages killing cops, rioting, looting, and assault?
I guess being free from fear of violence, the idea of a sense of security, is not a basic human right.
Sorophobia, by the way – and yes, I had to look it up, relates to the discrimination of people with AIDS or HIV. Well, her presumption that what you say or write is discrimination. A not unfamiliar boundry.
In New Hampshire, they actually passed a law that prohibits professionals from providing counseling to people with gender dysphoria who want to live as their biological sex. Any such patient would have to leave the state for their mental health services.
It’s a one-way highway and dissenters will be excommunicated.
And while this is the Left’s plan for America, the University crapped kittens when a copy of the syllabus went public. They immediately claim to have had some words with the Prof about freedom of thought and expression at ISU. Free speech, all that, and a bag of chips.
“The syllabus statement as written was inconsistent with the university’s standards and its commitment to the First Amendment rights of students. After reviewing this issue with the faculty member, the syllabus has been corrected to ensure it is consistent with university policy,”
The syllabus has been modified but (I suspect) in the interest of keeping the Feds from holding back any prospect of federal grants or research dollars.
I’m sure on some level they still pander to the idea of intellectual curiosity, but in this instance, I doubt their intervention had anything to do with Student rights.
I’d also bet money that Professor Clark, while busted for being honest about her militant leftism, has sent a compelling message to her students. Just because it is not in the syllabus does not mean I won’t continue to enforce those rules.
She can’t help herself. She’s like the leftist looters and rioters. It is beyond her ability to behave in an environment where no one is serious about stopping her.
