The Otherwise Indestructible Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Has Cancer Again

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was in the hospital when they discovered her cancer had flared up again. She immediately began another round of chemotherapy and said things are going according to plan. She also has no plans to step down from the Supreme Court, not that the Left would let her.

The 87-year-old Ginsburg, who spent time in the hospital this week for a possible infection, said her treatment so far has succeeded in reducing lesions on her liver and that she will continue chemotherapy sessions every two weeks.

“I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that,” Ginsburg said in a statement issued by the court.

After multiple health-scares and a disappearing reappearing act, this is just the latest in a succession of health issues that have done nothing to slow her down. But every time she reports some new or recurring health issues, the political Left craps kittens. Should she (sadly) pass while Mr. Trump is still in the Oval Office – or have to step down, he will have a third opportunity to put someone on the court who could be less inclined to pretend that their job was to invent things in the Constitution that simply are not there.

The Left lives to see things between the lines and always to the advantage of their agenda.

If the Dems manage to get supermajorities in both chambers, they will just impeach the Justices they don’t like so they can get something more amenable to their program. A court that legislates for them, saving them the trouble of having to cast votes, though that has become less of a problem in recent years.

The American Democrat party has been taken over by Marxists-Leninists who proudly call themselves socialist or at least vote like them. Proudly.

The only cure for that is a Judicial Branch that jealously guards its power and uses it to defend the people form infringements on the Constitution. I can’t say we’ve had one of those in recent memory (the record is spotty), but that was the Founders plan, and the Left has been working patiently to thwart it for close to a century.

But it’s not too late.

A nice wipe-out of Democrats in the next election would help things along. Will we get one of those? I have no idea. But I’m hopeful. And then, perhaps, the Notorious RGB will retire. And maybe we’ll get that court we always wanted and take another step toward returning our nation to one with a constitution that limits the federal government’s power.

No, I have no idea if that will happen in my lifetime, but I’m hopeful.

Until then, could we do something about the awful judicial system in New Hampshire? No one I know has anything good to say about it. And the only recourse would be a Republican supermajority in the legislature willing to use its authority to vacate the judiciary.

No, I do not expect to see that in my lifetime. But I’m hopeful.

And an activist, so there is that.
