Chicagoland continues its reputation throughout the pandemic. It’s annual body count rising from violence. Takemia Jones, who lost her daughter nine months after a nephew was shot dead a block away, says, “I feel powerless, and I feel there should be more police on the street.”

Takemia Jones lived in the same building with her niece and was home Saturday night, though she initially thought the gunfire was merely firecrackers. Now instead of helping Jones hunt for a summer job, she’s waiting to attend her funeral.
“I feel sad and hurt,” she said. “I feel powerless, and I feel there should be more police on the street.”
Fathers Day weekend saw 104 shot, 14 dead.
May 31st, a few weeks earlier, was one of the deadliest in the cities history with 85 shot, 24 dead. But that’s a drop in the annual bucket for a typical Democrat-run urban utopia like Chicago. A shining example of what you get with the Left’s anti-gun laws. A city under Democrat-rule for 89-years. Where a mom has spent her whole life watching friends and family members get gunned down and believes they need more police in the streets.
Democrats are pushing for fewer cops and a smaller enforcement footprint in high crime areas.
Who thinks that will go “about as well” for public safety as their “common sense” gun laws? Who understands that it will be exponentially worse on those inner-city minority neighborhoods?
Democrats think they are the smartest people, but Takemia Jones knows better.
Will she and her neighbors realize they need to stop voting for Democrats to begin turning things around?
