Climate Change (Meaning You) Are Ruining That Morning Cup of Coffee

Fake news about climate-crisis driven scarcity is not just common; it’s a 30-year pandemic. Coffee is no newcomer to that game. And since they’ve got you trapped at home, now is as good a time as any to lie to you some more. OMG! Global Warming threatens (another) coffee bean crisis!

Ratchet up the anxiety a few notches. I’ll have nothing to drink but mail-order box wine and poisoned tap water, Nooooo!

Farming of both Robusta and Arabica beans will have to adjust to a new climate.”

With the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) predicting higher temperatures, more frequent and severe droughts, and greater seasonal changes in the Bean Belt, things don’t look good for arabica coffee beans.

Summation – Warming will harm the crop, but nothing they have predicted has come to pass. NOTHING! Especially the increased Warming that will (supposedly) trigger every ill ever predicated upon it. This is why, over a decade ago, they decided that Warming caused cooling, just in case. And that’s bad for coffee too.

But H. Sterling Burnett reminds us that in the age of Al Gore – Michael Mann Made Warming, coffee bean production has doubled.

The U.N.’s Food and Agriculture Organization reports coffee production nearly doubled between 1994 and 2018, with yields growing from 5.7 million tons in 1994 to 10.3 million tons in 2018. Data from Statista, a global business data gathering and analysis organization show, while coffee production varies somewhat from year to year, global coffee production was 129.2 million kilograms during the 2006/2007 crop year, rising to 170.94 million kilograms in the 2018/2019 crop year.

Burnett also notes that the only real crisis the coffee bean people are having is excess supply. Prices have dropped for the past two years because of (wink-wink) ‘Global Warming.’

So, the planet is boiling (when it is not freezing), and we only have x-years left (unless we embrace socialism), but you’ll be able to enjoy a good cup of more affordable coffee as we watch “the world come to an end™.”

Unless (of course) we give in to climate socialism (which looks much like Virus Socialism, if you forgot). At that point, coffee, like a living, will become scarce thanks to political force.

But?

COVID-19 would have a much harder time surviving on a warmer planet. Using the rules of left-wing rhetoric, this means that anything that supposedly cools the planet helps the virus to thrive.

Murderers!
