That Time Billy Shaheen Ran Smack Dab Into Identity Politics

So there is this:

From WMUR:

… Cardona said he is running for the post “because after fighting for so many years, I realize that we need change everywhere. We need diversity everywhere. We need young minds everywhere. We need LGBTQ minds everywhere and Latinos everywhere.”

“Our party needs our voice,” he said. “It needs us to continue to fight for the progressive cause.”

Cardona is a “threefer”: “youth”, Hispanic and gay.

And to be clear, I don’t think there is anything wrong with being young or being young and Hispanic or being young and Hispanic and gay.

I am, however, thoroughly enjoying Billy Shaheen … the incumbent DNC Committeeman … and the other old, white, male leaders of the Democrat Party being hoist by their own petard. For some time now, the Democrats … especially through that Democrat boot-camp also known as “higher education” … have been indoctrinating younger people that “old white males bad.” Of course, what the leaders of the Democrat Party really meant is that JUST the “old, white males” of the GOP are bad.

But here they find themselves hoist by their own petard:

As for Cardona, he is a Hard-Left looney in a Party where the Hard-Left is the norm. He supports Medicare-for-All and the Green New Deal. He retweets Rashida Tlaib & other members of the “Squad.” He is being supported by the looniest of the loonies:

But I am hoping he wins. Having sown the wind so long with identity politics … the notion that you should not be judged as an individual, but by your skin color, sexual preference, gender, etc. etc. etc. – in a cynical attempt to get votes … it s fitting that the Democrat Party reap the whirlwind.

So, go ahead, Billy. Explain to everyone why after telling people for so long that they should cast their votes based on candidates’ skin color, sexual preference, gender, etc. that standard should apply only when the GOP candidate is the politically incorrect skin color, sexual preference, gender, etc., and should not apply to you.
