Big Tech’s commitment to promoting ChiCom propaganda is marveled only by Corporate media. This also works in reverse. Facebook, for example, is using its obviously partisan fact-checking process to remove articles suggesting COVID-19 escaped from a Chinese Lab.
We actually have an example of this from the Grok Facebook, both the page and the group. A post to the page was not removed but appears to have been throttled. Not unlikely as FB has throttled the entire page over false flags that are actually false themselves. I covered that here.
Over on the group, a member posted something about the Lab in Wuhan being the source, and Facebook yanked it and flagged it.
Here’s something that’s true about the checkered factbook source Facebook is using to pull down content about the lab as the source of patient zero. They worked at the lab in Wuhan and their current work is heavily funded by the Chinese Government.
Danielle Anderson, who works at Duke University’s NUS Medical School lab in Singapore, also contributes to Science Feedback – which Facebook has been using to slap “False Information” labels on articles claiming that COVID-19 may have originated at the Wuhan institute – where Anderson worked with bat coronavirus.
A quick search of Anderson’s publications reveals no fewer than nine collaborations with Dr. Peng Zhou – a Wuhan scientist experimenting on bat coronavirus (the mention of whom may result in a Twitter ban).
You can dig into more detail at ZeroHedge, but a commenter at Instapundit noted that,
This woman has all (or some) of her papers listed on her Duke site. If you look at them the funding grants are listed. If I am reading it right, a lot of her funding (IOW, her income) comes from the Chinese government. I don’t think she is going to bite the hand that feeds her.
Long story short, the source of Facebook’s fact-checking – the basis under which they are pulling content, including updates on our pages is a paid hack of the Communist Chinese Government.
Nice.
