The Mueller investigation was not an investigation. It was a taxpayer-funded anti-Trump media headline factory. Which, in the course of its duties, said or made up a lot of stuff that is now being challenged as illegal behavior. In other words, Team Mueller and the FBI lied, and someone thinks they should pay.
We already know that the FBI knew the collusion scam was a hoax in January 2017. Before the special prosecutor was appointed. We know the FBI said numerous witnesses who they charged with lying to the FBI (process crimes) for headlines, did not lie. The FBI hid exculpatory evidence and lied on FISA warrants. And all of that transferred to Team Mueller when they used these lies to gin up their investigation.
That’s before we even get to the illegal spying by a Democrat administration on Republican candidates for President or foreign involvement in that surveillance.
House Republicans on the Intelligence Committee are considering the consequences which include actual lying to both the courts and Congress to falsely accuse innocent people of crimes (in this case for political points).
Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told Just the News that his team has been scouring recent documents released by the FBI, including witness reports known as 302s, and found glaring evidence that contradicts claims the Mueller team made to courts and Congress.
“We’re now going through these 302s, and we’re going to be making criminal referrals on the Mueller dossier team, the people that put this Mueller report together,” Nunes said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast set to air on Tuesday.
Just about everything the left has done from mishandling Hillary’s email server investigation, to Benghazi, to Ukraine, the spying scandal, and everything else has been predicated on their belief they’d never get caught. That they would win, and when that did not happen that the deep state intimidation tactics would drive anyone and everyone who might question their methods and motives out of office or underground.
That’s always been the case, so of course, they thought that.
Mr. Trump’s resilience had provided much-needed bone grafts to the spines of otherwise weak Republicans. He has emboldened them to stand up and fight back against the political class and the deep state.
Will it amount to anything? A few leftish underlings have been convicted of crimes but no one with a high profile. Not yet. And maybe never. But it establishes new precedent. If the US government thinks it can continue to fabricate evidence and crimes to intimidate Americans, there should be consequences.
What we need are a few high-profile characters to suffer some public consequences. A few dozen minor players to do hard time. A few hundred or even thousand deep states creeps to get their walking papers (and lose their benefits). But only if it is because of the truth.
There has to be hard evidence, presented in a court, that convicts them of actual crimes. To do it any other way would be lowering ourselves to their level. We need less of that, not more.
