So I saw this today on twitter:
That’s not right, I thought … knowing that that Steve Duprey’s long-time twitter account has been @SecretaryofFun. So I checked out @SecretaryofFun:
What I found is that every tweet, save one nonpolitical tweet from December, 2018 had been scrubbed! Then I checked out @SDupreyNH:
As you can see, it was created just this month. Here is Steve’s first tweet from his new twitter:
So I can understand a new twitter account devoted to Steve’s campaign to represent New Hampshire on the RNC … apparently for life. But why scrub the old account?
Well maybe because @SecretaryofFun contained tweets that might prove, shall we say, a tad embarrassing for someone who is pitching himself as a loyal supporter of Donald Trump. For example, this is not Steve’s tweet, but it’s fair to assume that Steve probably expressed similar sentiments on @SecretaryofFun:
Or perhaps you wouldn’t want Republicans to see that your anti-Trump diatribes were being retweeted by Carol Che Porter:
Or that on the issue of #VoterFraud, you support the Democrats:
I’d bet there was a lot more … and perhaps a lot worse … on @SecretaryofFun, which is why the account was scrubbed.
This new version … this January, 2020 version of Steve Duprey … is not authentic. He has not been a supporter of President Trump. He may not be as Trump-Deranged as Jennifer Horn, but based on what I unearthed after a pretty cursory search, he is more Never-Trump than the stalwart supporter of the President that is now being portrayed.
My bet would be that if he wins reelection it won’t be long until he dumps the loyal-to-Trump @SDupreyNH persona created in January, 2020 and reverts back to Never-Trump.
